Model Reviewed: KDC-MP828

Strength:

The 5v preamp outs provide a very clean signal for amplifiers, so the sound is rich and full. The SRS WOW helps even more, as does the DSP. I have it hooked up to 3 amplifiers, and it allows me to control all three with the HPF/LPF in conjunction with the balance, fader and rear volume control. It doesn't distort the signal at high volume either.

Weakness:

The filters won't do three-way, so I cannot run active crosspvers on my speakers. So since the HPF only goes to 220 hz, You'd have to use aa passive crossover. Lots of submenus are hard to access. I'm still findng new ones to this day.

This thing does it all. I love it. It's got all the features you'd ever need in a CD player, and then some. The screen is cool, and the controls are easy. This is simply a great head unit.
