Strength:

flash blue light

Weakness:

Face plate is VERY VERY WEAK small impact will mess up the display

This deck is good as long as you drive very carefully. I went through two of these decks believe or not. First one, I was carrying the face plate in the carrying case and as I was getting in the car, it popped outta my pocket, so basically it fell from seat high(not that high) and when I put the face plate on the deck to see if it's alright... it wasn't(remember, face was in the carrying case). the display was all messed up, black lines everywhere. Ok so I take it back and received a new one. About 3 weeks after, I ran over small pothole going around 30km/h and next thing I see is this big black line right in the center of the display. WTF!!! I'm not even gonna bother with warranty anymore, it's gonna happen again anyway. If you are thinking about buying this , just move on, display "animation" might look good at first but the resolution is really low so it looks like nothing. I regret, i should've gotten Pioneer "dolphin" deck instead...

Strength:

5v pre out, remote control, signal clarity, features.

Weakness:

tends to overheat when playing CDs for a long time then you have to use radio for a while until the CD mechanism cools down.

This cannot be beaten on price for the features it offers. 5v pre outs says it all.

Strength:

- Three 5v preamps that the big Sh*t right there(if your planning a system its all about the preamps... forget he internal amp... - The display is seriously bright and the graffics are the sh*t...I like it way better than the Pioneer premier(not being bias) but seriously though...Lots of functions and it made my JL subs so much better.... - Seriously for the price its as good as the 400-500 dollar headunits...Just look for the good price though...

Weakness:

None

Damn this is one crazy @ss headunit...It made my system so much better...

Strength:

beautiful design, trick display, easy egonomics, great power for a deck, even better to get external power (5V preamps) quality construction Excellent deck!

Weakness:

not much of a weakness but would like to see 100% motorized face and better eq. adjuster add in.

This deck has 2 major sell point: looks, and functionality. This is one of the fanciest deck out there. With the blue dot-matrix display, you''ll love the show it puts out, plus your passengers or even neighbor lanes will comment on it. It''s bright, even at under direct sun you''ll be able to control with ease, also there IS dimming adjustability. Talk about controls, the GUI (graphic user interface) is very user-friendly compare to other decks out there; my learning curve was around 2 minutes. At day, it''s high glossed glass face with the aluminum (color, not material) exterior blends in extremely well if you have black tone interior, or any type of chrome/aluminum dash components. At night, the night face continued from last gen''s panasonic decks proves that it''s even more attractive with the dot-matrix running. All in all, if you dig blue, silver, some type of dot-matrix motion display (like pioneer/kenwood''s top end), this is for you. Funtionality wise, first to top off the looks part, its egonomic is excellent. Although there''s no volume knob which a lot prefer, the buttons sizes and layout really makes it one of the simplest deck to use. Its Alphatuner V boosts the radio a tad bit than my other decks, while it''s 27wX4rms/50x4max mosfet shows potent enough without any extenal amp for you budget buyers. After I hooked them up to my amp, its 5V pre-amp really was quite clearer and more bumpier on my separates and subs, than my pass deck which had 3.5V. For its price, it certainly beats PLENTY other decks in its class with its output level. The SHDB was a nice feature, with 3 setting to emphasize either marginal bass bost below 120hz (or 80hz), or mild bass increase with some peak boost for the highs to exagerrate the line in between. Oh, the last setting''s off =P. Also it allows you to increase bas, similar to subs gain, to a LOT. while the SHDB is nice and simple, the 2 band eq didn''t quite cut it though. I would love to have more adjustability without pursueing any external eq, which this doesn''t have =/ So in general, if you want a good looking, performing deck with great expandibility (aux in and changer-able are given), minus the need for eq, then i''d strongly recommend this deck!
