Model Reviewed: DEH-p760mp

Strength:

The sound you get out of pioneer car receivers has always been great and continues with this model. It performs as well as when I first put it in over 2 years ago.

Weakness:

I have run into the occasional problem of the disc not fully ejecting.

I highly recommend this model. Reliable, great performance, great price, etc.

I've owned Sony, Kenwood, and Panasonic units.

Strength:

Great to use with subs. Awesome display. Reads MP3's. Plenty of power. Plenty of adjustments to tweak.

Weakness:

Display hard to read in direct sunlight.

This deck is awesome for the money. The display looks sick, and it works like a champ. It has a lot of different adjustments for aftermarket speakers and amps. Easy to use menus, and easy on the eyes. I have had this deck in two different cars, and it has worked perfectly in both. This is the best deck for the money, period.

Model Reviewed: Pioneer DEH/P760MP

Strength:

50 Watt output, reads WMA/WAV/MP3 format, cool display, displays title information of CD/MP3/WMA/WAV, cool remote, excellent EQ features, detachable faceplate.

Weakness:

No naming radio stations, MP3/WMA's must be recorded onto a finalized disc.

I bought this radio from Car Toys for 336.15 installed (after taxes) by calling several competitors until I got the price I wanted. You can find this radio on Ebay for 189.95 + 30 Shipping + tax but I found it to be worth the extra 20-30 dollars for a guanteed install and warranty. This radio sounds GREAT- even with my stock speakers (in my Dodge Intrepid SE) I was able to get a crystal clear sound that packs a nice punch. The features are well thought out and easy to use and the remote for this radio makes all the difference in the world. I am pleased with the bang for the buck you get with this deck. My past two radios have been Pioneers- I can not seem to find another radio that is as easy to use with many great features for the price. The menus are straight forward and you can get by without reading the manual if you are that lazy. Pioneer makes better radios if you are willing to spend more than $400.00 but if you want bang for the buck- DEH-P760MP is the way to go!
