Strength:

Beautiful display, seems like a rugged unit. Price was good

Weakness:

Mine came with a big remote rather than the 'card' one. That would have been better seeing as I am not fond of 'screwing' in the supplied one for the big remote

The product does not READ CDRW's like somebody mentioned earlier.

Strength:

It's incredible. If I'm gonna talk about the graphics, well... I could use 100 lines to describe it... is really cool!!! Screensavers, spectrum analyser and other stuffs... Technicaly, is more that just cool... 3 RCA pairs, frequencies, fader, HPF, FIE... wow.....

Weakness:

Destachable Face Mode... looks like will break very easy... who knows... I hope be wrong...

Is valid every dollar that I spent on it. Is nice for competition or just to have a nice in dash system in your car.

Strength:

This Deck is great. There is seriously nothing out there better than this deck for this price. Its got everything you could possibly want and more.

Weakness:

The only thing I don't like about this deck is the way direct sun can make it difficult to read.

I'd recommend it because it rocks. Its a great deck for the average joe, or for the experienced joe. Its got all the features and more than they could possibly want. I would even recommend this to a professional as long as everything was being run by amplifiers.

We'll I must say that this deck has way more power running to the amplifier with its 4v preouts (front, rear, sub) my amps are running cooler and more effieciently than they were with the panasonic. Don't get me wrong the Panasonic was nice but this has just got it beat easily. This deck has way more features and it looks better too.

Strength:

It has great graphics, great options to choose from, two cool screensavers, two spectrum analyzer modes, and everything else you could want.

Weakness:

none

I only paid $330 at competitionsound.com, including $40 for second day delivery. I got it when they said I would. I recommend competionsound.com to everybody who wants a great deal. The cd player came with a 1 year warranty and everything was there. It is an awesome cd player and it was worth the price. I won't need another cd player for a long time.

Strength:

It has a nice organic display and a good amplifier, nice audio controlls eq, subwoofer out put, etc.

Weakness:

If you plan on running an aftermarket amplifier and subs be prepaired for skipage. I have two rockford fosgate 10's and a RF Punch 250a and when the bass hits hard enuff it skips also it skips on large bumps in the road. Poor (antishock)at this price they should invest more in the dampening and less in the display.

I paid full price $470.00 if they would have had the 7200 in stock I would rather get it. The features are the same only differance is the price and 1 less set of pre outs that I dont use anyways.

Strength:

Power and features! It sounds great without a separate amp. Cool graphics, simple interface and you can shape the sound any way you want. I'm a guy, so I don't read manuals and yet I set everything to what I wanted in less than 5 minutes! Very easy to learn. Oh, let me mention the power again,....IT HAS GREAT POWER!

Weakness:

Absolutely none! Although, this is a flip down face and I'm sure that will have problems somewhere down the road.

I paid 299.00 + 28.00(shipping and handling) for 2nd Day Air from www.usavegelt.com(located in NY). Crutchfield says this model is the easiest to install but I let a pro do it and it sure looked like it was easy! The remote is simple to use, 5 different screen savers, the station preset buttons look small but I have no problems with it, and it has a volume knob instead of buttons. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS model! I'm not big into car audio but I needed a cd player and I trusted the Pioneer name and the graphics are cool, and yet I hear this model is sought after for competition use. I guess I made the right choice.

Strength:

Great looks, great design, awesome sound,

Weakness:

no motorized faceplate, but if you want to pay 100s more for the 9200 be my guest i dont think its worse it that much

I love this headunit, i mean i sit in my car and DOLPHINS ARE SWIMMING ON MY DASH!... Girls flip when they sit in it... aside from the chick factor, its an awesome SQ HU, so many features thats its wild...

Similar Products Used:

I think the Clarion Deck that has Dolphins is better than this, and there are better HUs, but in this price range... no way... the Clarion costs 600-700 dollars... This HU rocks, and for the deal i got... nothing beats it... ECLIPSE IS OVERRATED!! and ReGraDaeZ sucks!

Strength:

excellent price, cool display, incredible amount of options, two-way crossover, hi-volt preout

Weakness:

only a full flap display and not an auto-flap

i think this is the best cd player out there for the money, period! i had an eclipse 55430 and i think this pioneer blows the bejesus out of that eclipse. the display is cool but the options are what make this deck so incredible, a built in two-way crossover really takes out almost all the distortion that can be heard through the speakers, hi-volt preout, and 3 sets of preouts. this deck has all the options of the more expense 9200 except for a smaller organic el display and it doesn't have an auto-flap face but thats it. Its about $200 cheaper than the 9200. this deck is a better buy than the alpines and the eclipses, not even close for the money. Pioneer for life!

Strength:

Great looking display. LOTS of options. Built in crossovers. Hi-volt preouts. MOSFET45. Plays CDR/RWs. Volume Knob. Good EQ.

Weakness:

No automatic flip up.

This is a great head unit for any type of system. Whether your competing or just like showing off your system, the Pioneer DEH-8200r catches peoples' eyes. You'll either love or hate the full motion display. The 8200 comes with two screen savers; dolphins and ruins. I tend to not use them and stick with the RTA screen.
