Strength:

Good controls. Volume knob is much, much better than volume buttons. Good sound and D-Bass feature is great.

Weakness:

None

Generally at this price range ~$200, all receivers are of equal quality. With the kenwoods and alpines all you pay for is the name. The reason I purchased this model is the easy to use volume knob and track control lever. Something about looking down going 75mph trying to find the track buttons that doesn't thrill me. This deck is easy to use w/o looking. Heck even my girlfriend figured it out on the first try.

Strength:

It a very nice looking deck with good sound quality

Weakness:

Face plate is hard to get off sometimes

I would recommend this deck to everyone. It has every feature a deck really needs. Its not one of those new deck that connect to the internet but all you really need is to lsten to cds. Plays my CD-Rs fine.

Strength:

Old Style Encoder Knob; Bass Boost 3 position loudness switch

Weakness:

Seems Finiky about playing CD-R

Saw on-sale for $134 (regular $200+) in a couple of ad circulars. Returned mine. It was a pretty good unit, but had a hard time playing my CD-R's, even a couple of units in the store. Take some Test CD's with you when you go to shop.

Strength:

Volume knob, 3-way D-Bass switch, 10 preset buttons on the face instead of the usual 6-8, Plays all my CDRs just fine, even when burned at high speeds.

Weakness:

Faceplate removal was aa bit weird.

I like the the knob for the volume control as well as the abundance of presets. Some people have said that the CDR playbeck wasn't as good as they'd like, but my unit has played all the CDRs I've made so far. The D-Bass slopes are pretty nice, but at the third setting, things get a bit distorted. I only wisht the preamp out voltage was a bit higher.
