Strength:

Sound quality, quick change and never skips.

Weakness:

Build quality seems a little flimsy.

The construcion of this unit seems a bit flimsy but it puts out some great sound. It is the quickest changer I've ever heard. I ride on some of the nastiest roads in the country, NYC. Pot holes, cobblestones and the occasional body on the road. Just kidding. Over the hardest bumps, this changer does not skip. I love it. The rest of my system is: Alpine 11 band EQ Alpine F-340 4 ch amp Alpine 12 disc changer Diamond Audio M-361i 6.5" coax Diamond Audio M-391i 6x9" coax Kicker 8" 100W subwoofer box

150 CD Title Memory, Never Skips, Plays CD-Rs.

Weakness:

It doesn't read CD Text.

Excellent CD Changer!! No problems. I used it for 3 years with a Alpine CDA-3837. And this past year with a Alpine CVA-1006. It plays CD-Rs flawlessly. Never skipped on me.

Weakness:

The best changer I have owned. Damn near unskipable, even in Michigan. Supposedly does not play CD-R's, but mine plays them just fine. Flawless operation. Can be mounted 0-90 degrees for custom install

Strength:

Great sq and quality. Will only skip in the most bone-jarring bumps.

Weakness:

I guess it had to be that it still skips in the most bone-jarring bumps.

I used this with CHA-7873 headunit and they worked very well togather. I am have a great sq in my drive.

Strength:

12 discs, 150 Title Memory, Clear crisp sound.

Weakness:

Maybe a little slow in loading or maybe because I've used a 6-disc changer before (less disc, faster load time).

I've paid $319 (installed, incl tax), I think its worth it, so far everything's been great and it plays CD-Rs with no problem at all. I only wish it had CD Text capability and a Digital output like the CHA-S624.
Highly recommended to all who have Alpine AI-Net head units

Strength:

Quick changes at the end of one disc to the next in line. Never skips. Never broken.

Weakness:

Takes a long time to manaully change disc (by pressing the buttons). I don't like the "shelves" that are inside the magazine. Spare magazines cost a fortune!

After the first sony I had I didn't want another changer. I decided to give this one a try because I got it cheap! It will hold a weeks worth of music! I have never had any reliablity or skipping problems. I would buy it again. It is a good value if you can get it online, cost too much at local dealers!

Strength:

Very nice looking and the sound is simply awsome. The lighted eject button is very useful and the speed of the unit if pretty good.

Weakness:

I would never say any about an Alpine.

I would recommend this for anyone who has an Apline head (AI NET) and wants to add a CD_changer. Its pretty small for its capability that I could fit it in my arm rest storage.

I would strongly recommend this CD Changer to anyone. It has a lot of features and is worth the money. I got mine at a really good deal @ SoundsCheap.com. My friend told me they had top car audio products and I checked them out, SoundsCheap.com was more than what I expected. They even gave me FREE SHIPPING and arrived within a few days. Be sure to check them out at http://www.soundscheap.com

Strength:

12-Disc capability, 150 disc memory, NEVER SKIPS, very clear sound, Ai net technology, multiple mounting choices

Weakness:

None - I never say that about any product!

This product is excellent! (Cannot expect anything less from Alpine) I installed it myself along with the TDA -7563 cassette unit I bought (never had installed any car audio before) and it was a piece of cake. The CD changing is fast enough, and I have not had it skip on me once even after hitting those nasty pot holes in the road. Condisering the fact that it holds twelve discs, one magazine should be enough for any kind of long trip. I have not had it for very long so I cannot exactly comment on the reliability of this changer, but so far I have not had a problem. I would recommend this changer for what it sells for retail on the market, even though I only paid $220.00 for it new. If you have an Ai head unit, this changer is a must.

Strength:

Holds up to 12 CDs, aiNet technology and it's hasn't skipped yet.

Weakness:

The arrow showing the direction to re-insert the CD tray into the unit could be more visible/obvious.

Initially, I was concerned about how the changer would perform under bumpy conditions (since, I have a Jeep). I even tried it out and the unit still performed well under those conditions! I paid $315.00 for the unit and haven't any problems!

BTW, addtional CD trays cost about $30.00. I never thought I would tire of listening to a selection of 12 CDs...
