Strength:

Quick changeover - 8 Seconds
Solid playback -no skips or errors
Cnvenient small size that is easy to install.

Weakness:

No backlight in controller that makes it difficult to read in dark conditions.

I have this installed in my Odyssey and is connected to my stock cassate player through FM interface. The on dash controller looks neat but the only drawback i fond is that it has no backlight making it impossible to read it dark conditions. Remote is very handy. Plays clear with no skips or errors.

Strength:

Does not skip. Works with remote. 8 second CD change. 12 CDs plenty of variety for long trips.

Weakness:

No CD text capability.

I just love my new CD Changer! I had an old Honda cassette player that just started eating up all my tapes, so I decided to move up with the rest of the world and start listening to CDs. I didn''t want to get rid of my old school cassettes so I needed a way to keep them and still enjoy the convienience and clarity of CDs. JVC had the answer to my dilemma. I purchased the CH-X350 brand new for $99 at Midwest Audio!! Killer deal! I wasn''t expecting such a good deal for a 12 disk changer. I also purchased a JVC ks fx470 cassette reciever with CD Changer controls and remote through Letsgodigital.com. These two make an excellent combo. Installation was very easy for the changer. I hung mount it in the trunk (only place with enough room and that felt safe). Installation took about 45 minutes head unit and changer both. I ran the wire under the carpet and since both are connectable with the J-link cable getting everything set up was a breeze. Connecting the Honda wiring harness to the head unit and pulling up the carpet and side boards was the most consuming part of the job. The 350 works like a charm. The full floating mecahnism and 12 second recovery has proven effective so far. No skips or aything and Oklahoma roads are pretty bad. Remote functions well with fx470 to control the CH-x350. Change time between CDs is actually 8 seconds not 6 like the JVC claims. Plays CDs crystal clear. Not having CD text capability is the only drawback. It would make choosing the desired CD a little quicker opposed to waiting for the first song to play only to find you placed the CD you want in the 12th slot. The fx470 has this ability but the changer does not. The 350 comes with a see through CD magazine that is pretty sturdy and makes it fairly easy to remove and replace CDs. Ejects and inserts fine. I usually take the magazine out and take it in the car with me to load my CDs for the day. All in all I would recommend this changer to anyone with a JVC head unit. I happened to get an excellent price when I was going to pay over $200 for the CH-x1000. (With CD text) I am more than satisfied with this product. I don''t know how I went this long without CDs. Great job JVC!!!
