Strength:

Great Cd sound quality, has played any Cd-r i have ever used flawlessly - also never skips (except like huge potholes). Built-in changer is great. Stays very cool... no "melted" cds coming out (it is a "pre-amp" and does not have an internal amp built-in). Search function is excellent, speeds up very fast after a few seconds. Lots of connection options.

Weakness:

Fm signal strength is merely alright.

The MB-100 is an excellent Cd unit. I upgraded from a Nak cd-45z, and a pioneer previous to that. The cd-45z was a good unit, but there was a HUGE difference in sound quality when i got the mb-100. There was a papable authority that blew me away right from the first cd i played. The acoustic response compensator is very useful. It lets you choose 2 frequency points (out of a possible 6) each with 3 levels of db to "cut" to minimize trouble spots in the car's acoustics. Worked great for me - i have 2 sets of mb quarts dsd-216 (in kick-panels in front) - i had a few "humps" in the sound field - buh-bye :) My next project is to upgrade from Xante to PPI - need more power! and to get an audiocontrol equalizer. If you are putting money down for a car system, you want cd sound quality at this level from your deck!

Strength:

Sound has a very good quality (definitly High-End for car-audio), D/A-Converter is extern with high resolution and a lot of inputs possible.

Weakness:

high frequencies sound a little bit hard and loud. Some problems with burned cd-roms (but it works). No switch input for moblile telephones (so that the radio could fade out and switches to a analog input automatically). Not a cheap product.

Very clear sound, Integrated CD-Changer, revolutionary audio circuit design

Strength:

Very clean sound. Single unit with no need to go to trunk or under seat.

Weakness:

Expensive and will not play certain brands of burned CDs. Too loud and takes too long when changing CDs.

Recommended for cars with no room for a changer, no wants of extra weight, and a need for very clean sound. I have a two seater modified for performance and this unit fit the bill perfectly.

Will break the bank. I don't recommend this unit if you have a lot of burned CDs, especially the TDK brand. Verbatim works a lot better in my unit.

None. This is my first aftermarket deck in this car and I don't want to compare it with other cars.
