Quality and Quality again.

The Alpine is one of a kind. The CVA-1000 get 8/10. Yes it's expensive. But if you want to have the good stuff you got to pay. If you know anything about alpine then you will go with it. From car head units Alpine is top of the line. That is only for headunits. The rest of the items are not to good. But the cva-1000 gets the job done. I have the unit with a dvd player in the trunk.

Strength:

Durable, great screen, decent remote

Weakness:

no EQ, no touch screen, add-ons too expensive

I have owned the CVA-1000 for almost 4 years now until it got stolen last week. I cant say anything negative about this unit except the price but you pay for QUALITY. Any other motorized unit like this would have failed by now. 4 years and not a single problem!

The alpine CVA1000 is a great unit for 1 thing Pulling Chicks........The cops hate it, my parents think its a waste of money and my wallet is now too light. Here we pay $2000aus for the unit and the TV option is another $600 not to mention that Satalite Navagation is not available here. Oh well as i see it its a great product to top of a top end system, or a Toy for a rich boy. Here at car audio shows its just the thing everyone has with all the other brands only just coming out......oh how far behind are we. Finnally i would say, it is hard to justify having one in Australia.

I have owned a CVA 1000 for 6 months and have all the add-ons, such as sat nav, cd changer/VCR, TV tuner etc. The controls are easy to use and the display is very clear. This unit is a little expensive, but with all the add-ons installed this unit really performs well. The satellite navigation is a must, the system will be even better with the DVD player. An excellent buy!!!!

More than just a cool gadget, the Alpine CVA1000 is a fantastic, easy to use head unit.It can be used to control all aspects of your vehicle's entertainment system.
Be sure to mate it with the Alpine GPS unit..a great confidence builder for those like myself who are direcionall impaired! I have found the GPS to be accurate to within a few feet. The easy to read map displays and clear voice prompts make this a must have and not a luxury. All you need is this and a cell phone for saftey and confidence whie driving.

I'm rating this 5 stars, sadly that's as high a rating as I can give it.This unit deserves MUCH more!

The CVA-1000 is a great face unit. I was debating between pioneer and alpine but when i read about all the add ons my decision was made it is great for anyone who can afford it and like some one else said the add ons are pricy but cool and it is a great chick magnet

I have owned the CVA-1000 for about a month now, after switching from a pioneer deck, and I have to say that the CVA-1000 is one of the best decks out on the market. Pros:
1. TV/VCR capable.
2. Very "flashy" (You'll make plently of friends in no time!!)
Cons:
1. The add-ons are very pricy
2. After spending 1,300 dollars.. All you get is a AM/FM player
3. no use in having this deck without the Nav. system (EST.$...? 1,600)

Alpine CVA 1000 is a waste of Money. You need to spend about 1650.00 Just to get a LCD screen and a Cd player. For those of you who do not know Eclipse and Kenwood offer a piece similar to the CVA but with a CD player Built in. The Eclipse even offers a 5 volt pre-out and the CVA does not. Granted the CVA would be a good choice if you could afford the alarm system, Cd Changer, Soon to Come D.V.D player, Navigation,T.V tuner, Time aliangment and digital processors.

Well, I have had nothing but problems w/ the unit so far. Nevertheless, I still love it. It is the coolest thing. One problem is my fault, and that is the car that it is installed into, a Plymouth Horizon. The other problem I cannot solve. Whenever I start up the unit, it never lets me into the setup. It always says, "Cannot access while driving," and I don't even have the key in the ignition. The best part about the CVA-1000 is that I got it brand new for only $500 as opposed to the list price of $1300. I love all of the additions that you can purchase for this unit, the AI-Net will be fun to play around with.
