There's no theft deterrent features. Basically if you take your head unit detachable faceplate you're still leaving a tempting reason for some pinhead to break in and steal your stuff anyway

I bought this because I wanted better control over my sound but didn't want to pay $300+ for a sound processor - my 7941 head unit sounds good enough without that. I REALLY love the rotary knob that controls the subwoofer level (and also turns the sub on an off) - yes, some higher end head units have sub level controls, but believe me this is way more convinient to use. I wish they had some sort of detatchable plate (not sure how that would work with a manual EQ, but I am sure someone could figure it out) or at least a way to cover it up so some thief doesn't see it and decide to break in your car anyway. I bought mine for around $150, which makes it an excellent value all around.

Sliders on EQ slightly difficult to fine tune to exact level, knobs would be better.

Paired with an Alpine CDE-7831 Head Unit, I was able to acheive awesome sound quality with the ERE-G180. This little EQ/Crossover does a great job fine tuning any mid to mid-high end system.

a little hard to perfect, small levers

this is the best part of my system by far. you can control everything with it. i will use this in my next install without any question. but i will not put it in the dash for security purposes. looks too good to theives even when the face isnt on your deck. the touch button sub control is great also. if you purchase this you will not be dissapointed. hope you can find a good deal on it though.
