Strength:

Ease of use, clear display, portability.

Weakness:

Sometimes the GPS gets confused if you are paralleling an interstate or highway along an access road. It can't distinguish two roads that are parallel and close together.

This is the third GPS I have owned (the other two are marine products and not comparable) and it is a functions great. I take it with me when I travel and rent a car. It is invaluable when trying to find your way around in a unfamiliar town or city. The GPS is easy to use and navigating through the menus on the GPS is simple. The 200W gives voice instructions such as "turn left" or "take exit ahead" but it does not speak the names of the street or exits. For that you must read the text at the top of the screen. The points of interest catalog is very helpful and will easily locate nearby resturants, gas stations, hospitals, etc. and then route you to them. There are several ways to select waypoints including longitude and latitude if your so inclined. I actually like using the Long and Lat method to locate points of interest that I find on Google Earth. Sometimes Long and Lat is the only way to find a location that doesn't have an address to navigate to. I originally bought this to play around with but it has turned out to be far more useful then that. It is not a toy or gimmick. My wife takes it with her when she travels too and has quickly learned how to operate it.

Strength:

great for long trips. fun to play with different languages.

Weakness:

it will never backtrack to get anywhere even if it is a better way to go, you can never lose ground.

this is definately worth its weight in gold, just don't use it if you already know where you are going. it can send you the most ass backwards ways.
