Alpine 5752CF Speakers

Alpine 5752CF Speakers

DESCRIPTION

Infinity Each speaker uses a cone about 30% larger than competing models of the same size. This is accomplished using our new basket design and hi-roll surround. The benefits of Plus One are greater bass output and a two-to-three dB increase in efficiency versus other brands.

Good set of speakers for the money paid. Highs are precise, clear , and imaging is very good. the lower bass response could be a little better, but mid bass is very accurate. | picket fence installation

Strength:

Price. Larger than normal woofer means greater midbass. Nice clear highs. Not harsh, and not listening fatigue.

Weakness:

None so far.

I have had Orion Cobalt 5x7's, and Inifinity Kappa 5x7's. I have also had Cerwin Vega components in my Expedition. These Infinity 5752cf's are the best by far. Clear not harsh highs, good midbass, the best I have heard from a 5x7 and good midrange. Not colored at all. I am pushing them with 30 watts off of a PPI 5440 amp. They are great. You can't touch them for the price I paid. I wish I would have tried these a long time ago. I am happy. BTW, the $65 is delivered.

Strength:

Good bass for size, very detailed, highs seem well refined. Sound as good as anything else I've used, and the install was a lot less painful, since they're designed to fit the factory locations.

Weakness:

Didn't exactly fit factory speaker holes, but close. I wasn't able to replace all 4 bolts that hold the speaker in place because of the slight mismatch. I used a Dynamat type dampener to treat the door, and Deflex panels behind the speaker. Crutchfield supplied adapter for factory wiring also could've fit a little better, but is usable.

Bought these as replacements for factory speakers. Factory speakers were unbelievably cheap - just a paper dual cone worth maybe 2 bucks. These Infinities walk all over the factory speakers - absolutely no comparison to the factory speakers at all. These make excellent replacement speakers for the horrible factory speaker most cars come with. They would also be great for someone with higher car stereo aspirations - external amps, subs, etc. They go fairly loud with my factory CD player, which only puts out 8-10 watts, more power would be nice, but its not necessary to get good sound out of these. A high power head unit (15-20 watts) would be a nice match for these as well. These sound as good as any car speaker I've heard, with the possible exception of the high end separates, but those cost 3X the price. If you want good clean sound without spending a whole lot of $, these are the way to go. 5 for value-these are a no-brainer at the price point, 4 overall due to the slight install issues mentioned in the weaknesses section.

Strength:

as far as bang for buck, you can''t go wrong! give good mid range bass, very filling sound, very crisp, not harsh at all, to be honest, my last focal 165k''s were actually to harsh, these are not as harsh.

Weakness:

when you push em REAL hard, which I dont, you might find a little distortion in the high''s, but thats about it.

Ok, it''s simple, I have been around the car audio game for about 4 to 5 years. All i can say is I have had some of the best competition components in my car''s and in my systems over the years. Focal, Diamond, Image dynamics, Boston... now i consider myself to have a very precise ear for this, i am all about sound quality. when i purchased these speakers along with the 6x9''s in the back, i did not expect much, all i wanted is sound because I AM DONE with wasting money on high end equipment, meaning i have grown out of the phase were I am only cool if my system sounds perfect and hits like no other! the 4 speakers are being pushed by the new pioneer 6400, and let me tell you, the difference between my other cars is minimal, granted i do have the doors dynamated etc. BUT compared to all the other components I have used, which all were over 400 dollars for just the two speakers, and the focals were 600, When you compare em to these infinitys, you are wasting your money with the high end crap, UNLESS you plan on competing and winning! these sound great, yes, the high end components might be just a tad better up top and overall, but it''s nothing the normal ear could really tell. do yourself a favor, dont waste your money, get these, you will be happy!

Strength:

good looks, clear sound, handle lots of power.

Weakness:

for as much advertising as infinity did for the new "bass woofer" it sure doesnt have good bass. dont plan on getting these if you want any bass. these are great mid/high speakers. also at high volumes the tweeters can get kinda raspy, but thats probably just me pushing them to distortion.

very crisp and clear. nice-looking too. first i had these wired to my head unit. was not impressed. soon after, i got a big 4ch amp and they sound 10 times better. i highly recommend to use these with an amp, they need lots of power to sound good. now they sound awsome. friends cant believe how loud and clear they get. did i say they need lots of power?

kenwoods, and listened to just about every brand out there in other friends cars. there are better speakers out there, but they cost lots of money.
