crisp clear sound at high volumes

Weakness:

These rock over pretty much all the comp. The first thing that all my friends said when i got these babies was,"wow im really impressed with your highs, ive never heard anything so clear at such high volumes."

Strength:

Good, clean Boston sound.

Weakness:

power handeling. Probably wanna keep this one on a head unit and
not an amp.

My friend had a 1997 Camaro with every thing. It had a BOSE factory
system and he wanted to upgrade to every thing aftermarket. So he
went to STEREO 1 and gor every thing boston put in but the dealer
did not have some kind of factory wiring harness to hook up the
CX6's. He ended up selling the camaro three months later(and they
still never hooked his stuff up) but he ganked the speakers out first.
i bought em for $45 bucks and let me tell you they are worth that
and then some. I would recomend anyone who wants a strong yet affordable
2-way to go for these. I have them custom mounted in the doors of
my chevy s-10. They sure blew away those piece of robbing junk BOSE out
of the water.

Strength:

They are crystal Clear, and sound great with any type of mustic, very accurate. well thats boston.

Weakness:

without a amp they distort ALOT. but i have a amp to em and they sound awsome, no complaints here.

I bought these for 100$ a pair. and got them installed with my JVC kdlx3 deck. and they sounded good, but i would turn up the volume and it would distort like crazy! so i have a clarion amp to em and they sound awsome now. they mix perfect with my subs and i love how clear and accurate they are.

Strength:

very good bang for the buck speaker. i was very impressed when i first got them compared to the 94 stock prelude speakers.

Weakness:

can't take much volume up top

i paid about 90 bucks after shipping from digital wavez which was a very good deal. it did super the first month, but i guess i turned up the volume too high on my stereo and boom. the speaker just doesn't sound right anymore. the left side just sounds cracked or something. bass doesn't hit as well. it's broken. right side is fine though. a guy at the stereo shop said it's probably the distortion that killed it. i'm upgrading infinity kappas with an amp. i've heard these in my friend's car and it's a hell of a lot better. but it costs more too. it's a great speaker if you don't turn it up.

Strength:

Very clean sound for a midbass speaker. Price of this speaker compared to others of its quality is also a plus. ($100)

Weakness:

Doesn't handle well at higher volume output levels.

I recommend this speaker to anyone who is looking for a relatively good speaker for a relatively fair price...or just looking for something to replace that factory junk.

Strength:

Very sensitive and clean.

Weakness:

Not a lot of power handling

The MSRP on these guys is $99. For that price, the Boston CX6's are about the best deal you will find. The performance-per-dollar ratio is wonderful - I have been very impressed with their clarity and overall sound quality considering that they are a middle-of-the-line coaxial. Thinking of upgrading to Rally series, but if you have $100 to spend and want a nice starting pair of speakers, these are your best bet.

Strength:

Very efficient, superior dynamics and soundstage

Weakness:

Not too impressive dynamic range, could have better separation

MSRP is more like $110, first off.
Boston is great for high fidelity in an environment where that is no easy task. This pair beat out the Infinity Kappa, not to mention the similarly priced Pioneer, Alpine, and JBL, not to mention a pair of $310 a/d/s separates. One note : just like home stereo speakers, they perform EONS better with aftermarket speaker wire.
