Strength:

Good mid-bass, rated power is under-rated
nice blend of crossover from woofer to tweeter, nice detailed tweeter without the harshness

Weakness:

Lacked lower bass but such is expected from a speaker of that size but it made up for sheer power and sound quality

I used this component speakers being powered by a Rockford Fosgate amp feeding them 120rms per side, the speakers were crossed over at 80Hz @6db octave. The subwoofers used with them was Kicker Comp VR pair of 12's being run by a soundstream reference 500 amplifier. When I powered them up for adjusting the gains, I immediately noticed the sound quality and its ability to handle loads of power whilst remaining detailed and controlled at high volume levels.(please note, I did have the speakers run in for 6 months prior to using the RF amp) They blended in well with a pair of 12's. The speakers were mounted on a fibreglass door pods angled to the opposite person in the front seat area. The tweeters were mounted on the "4" pillas to bring the sound stage to listening levels. These speakers sounded better and louder than many other 6 inch speakers I had there for testing their quality. I have sold the car since but have kept these speakers, they are definately an asset for listening purposes so use them, and give them enough juice so you get the most out of them.

Strength:

crisp. very reliable, very strong speaker. well built. no problems. i got the speaker used with my car purchase and who knows how old these are. doesnt matter, they always sound brand new

Weakness:

maybe they dont put out a whole lot of bass, but i have 1 12' woofer, so it doesnt matter.

this component set came with the car i bought. there getting 22 watts rms from my poineer head unit. these speakers are whats up. they are so crisp, so accurate. because of them any other speaker sounds bad. i listen to (mostly) hip hop. even with 1 12" bumping these speakers dont get drowned out with bass. for a while i thought they were blown, but i just had a bad amp (long story). this speakers good for any music application. i thought about putting 50 watts to each speaker, but why? they sound great as it is. i put bass blockers on them because when i turn up the low notes i dont want too much bass going to these speakers. thats why i have a sub

none. these have never blown. still going strong

Strength:

Very clear highs. When driven with proper power can punch through the power of a good sub with no problem.

Weakness:

Can be a bit too "bright" if the system is not tuned well.

These speakers are ABSOLUTLEY killer. They are clear and sound great. Whehn I play a piece of loud rock or quiet jazz they always make the music sound like as if it was actually being played in front of me in a live concert.

Strength:

Very good mid bass. Very clear highs.
Sound is excellent even though only driven by standard 4 x 25 watts head unit.
Long lasting speakers (have been used for about 6 years with no sound quality reduction).

Weakness:

I bought my RC41 and RC51 in early 1995, at the same time with the head unit (Pioneer KEH 7005 and CD changer (Pioneer CDX 1210).

I owned a Suzuki Sidekick (4 passengers SUV). The 4.5 mids are mounted to the original bracket inside the dashboard, the tweeters is mounted at the windshield corner.
The 5.5 woofers and tweeters are wooden mounted on the left and right panel behind the back seat.

In 1998 I sold the Side Kick, I moved all system to a bigger car, Isuzu (9 passenger SUV), the installation system work ok.

In 2000, I sold the Isuzu and bought a new Toyota (8 passenger SUV), I moved all system to this car.

To the last two cars, all speakers are mounted to the original bracket provided by the car manufacturer.

I loved this combination, overall they are excellent. They all work fantastic for small, medium and big size car. I only need to put into eight scale on my head unit (sometimes only six scale, from maximum 30 and I don't need any power amp to drive them) to get the great sound. I hear many classical, jazz, solo piano even Queen. These speakers work excellent. If you want more deeper bass, you may add a 10" sub.

I really recommend these speakers for quality sound.
