Model Reviewed: ''94 6.5" components

Strength:

silk dome tweeters - accurate and never harsh; crossovers that allow different tweeter settings; tonally accurate midbass; quality cast baskets; very durable.

Weakness:

None that I''ve heard yet after 6 plus years

Price quoted is US Dollars in 1994 I bought my speakers when they were still called Cliff Designs in 1994. The speakers reportedly had "Controlled Dispersion Technology" which is where the current name of the company comes from. It is such a wonderful experience when a product lives up to the hype of the company and these speakers do exactly that. These are the best imaging speakers I have ever heard - better than MB Quart. The singers and instruments truly sound like they are originating from points in the air in front of you . The stage is wide and deep and the tonal accuracy is dead on. I use a Precision Power A300 art series amplifier (1994 model) and have yet to hear anything better in a relatively simple set up like mine. They are also very durable - no indication of sound deterioration in over 7 years. If CD Technologies is still making speakers the same way they did in ''94 they are a must listen before you settle on something else.
