Overall the speakers tend to be a little bright in the upper freqs. The Midwoofer is just that so don't expect too much bass from them. A good crossover set around the 100 Hz range will do wonders. The speakes have the most amazing clarity and imaging. You can't get these things to distort no matter how hard you push them. While I haven't really listened to Focal or a/d/s speakers the Cerwin-Vegas will beat anything else out there. With the proper mounting you could swear your listening to some very expensive horn tweets.
