Strength:

Strong midbass/midrange, powerful kick.

Weakness:

tweeters are junk

Good and strong Mid-bass, needs a lot of power. The mid also needs to be secured very good or it'll rattle. I used to feed it 50W RMS for each speaker (60W RMS, 120W peak) using my mcIntosh but when I fed them 100W RMS, the mid range comes out. I was amused. Tweeters are junk. It's too sharp for me even at -6dB. The tweeters sound sharp like diamond audio.

Strength:

clarity and power handling

Weakness:

not for out and out bassheads

New Polyglass 130 V2 Range ..one word excellent..the clarity and seperation of the instruments are crisp clear and well detailed there is just the right amount of warmth and depth to vocals without been too coloured and adequate midbass extension to 70Hz tied in with a good sub they sound superb. They come with a crossover which is suoerb with attenuation for both the mid and tweeter settings so if like me your mids are well back in the front kickwells and the tweeters are high up you can add 6db to the mids and take 3db from the tweeters to provide seamless integration. I have ran these with my focal 4" rearfill without a sub and the sound quality and midbass performance is there to be heard all without harshness.

Strength:

The clarity is amazing, they are warm and bright.

Weakness:

The only thing comparable I've heard are polk momo 6.5s, which have slightly more powerful mid bass, but these are clearer and brighter, plus they are 5.25s, not 6.5s! I prefer the focals overall!

These are simply amazing, especially for the price paid. I have never heard better speakers. If you have a need for a 5.25 set, and you have 55 watts RMS x2 to drive the, BUY THESE! You won't be disappointed. I'm driving them with an alpine MRV-F340. I've never heard music sound so good. you can hear the pick scrape the guitar strings.

Strength:

Absolutely uncompromisable high pitch frequencies, the mid range is excellant and the bass is good.

Weakness:

None

Brilliant quality and very loud with the right amp. I have also got three JL subs in the boot and the Focals keep up with them.

I would buy these any day of the week over alpine, kenwood...e.t.c.

Strength:

Everything...Crisp, clean sounding speakers. Play anything and everything you would want them to.

Weakness:

Not top-of-the-line Focal speakers--Although no other brand could beat them, if you are going all out with Focals, go ahead and go w/ the Utopia or Polykevlar line (that's the only thing i regret: getting close to perfect, just not top-of-the-line)

All Focal products have a flawless reputation for producing clear-cut car audio. You can not be a car audio enthusiast if you don't support the quality and integrity of these speakers. These are unquestionably the best audio can get. If you want to go all out on a speaker, these are the way to go. Don't shy away because of the price-it is completely worth it. Everytime you get into your car with your Focals, you will thank yourself for being so smart and going with the Focal speakers (i do..hehe). However, as I said before, if I were to go back in time and change my decision, I would have chosen from the Utopia or Polykevlar line. The Polyglass 130 V aren't bad, though. Everything I put at them, these speakers will play definitively. Just make sure you put an amp to power them b/c then they will sound even better and even louder : )
Good luck!
