Model Reviewed: 1987 Honda CRX

Strength:

clarity, spatial imaging (off of the windshield), ability to take whatever you throw at it

Weakness:

the fact that I'm too poor to afford a 3 way set of the utopias

Had these in my car for quite a few months now, gone through some amps as well. started off running on an E:S uDimension amp at 75Wx2 @ 4ohm, they bloody well pounded. it was a tight mount in the door, but somehow it fits. then during an amp upgrade I temporarily ran them on an RF Power 350S, and with the gain set to almost nothing it still pounded louder than the 75Wx2 uDimension amp. now I have an AudioControl EQX, and a kenwood excelon deck (until I get my denon) and an Audison VRx 4.300 amp (65Wx2 @ 4ohms + 220Wx1 @ 4ohms for my sub) and a polyflex 33H sub (13"). it is a complete system. the sound blows me away every time I listen to it. everything is crisp without being sharp, it is detailed without being mechanical, and it is warm without being coloured. once I dynamat the entire door and rest of the car, it will sound even better (Also the denon deck will help =) ). and the audison amp rocks.
