Strength:

The flat dust cones on the newer models seem a bit soft, but the older dome dust cones were fine. The design of the newer subs (looks) is kinda blah (they are not bad looking, but not great looking either). People seeking "flashy" looks should look elsewhere. fleet repair

Strength:

Great trembling bass, clear crisp sound

Weakness:

They don't reach full potential running straight off the deck, but an amp can fix that.

Coming from a proffesional audio background, i wanted a brand that i could trust! Not being much of a car audio buff, i turned to JBL as it is a well known brand. I was rapped to find that these car speakers sound as clear and crisp as my own proffesional rig at home. I was running them straight of my deck (sony MEX-1HD) and they still sounded good, but i managed to purchase a second hand Alpine V12 amp and now, together with the rest of my system, they THUMP!!
