Strength:

Good way to supplement a factory system with some high frequencies; Lots of mounting options; Decent sound for the money.

Weakness:

Nothing so far.

I paid $129 Cdn. installed (about $85 U.S.).

I have a 1989 Nissan 240SX and just replaced the factory stereo (made by Clarion) with an inexpensive Kenwood unit. I heard these tweeters in a Ford truck that was being installed at the same time and had some put in my car. They hook-up in parallel with the front speakers; mine are mounted near the side mirrors. The difference in my car is significant, as the stock Nissan speakers are one-way paper-cone units.

I wouldn't use these drivers in a high-end or competition system, but for upgrading a factory system, they are excellent.

Strength:

3 installation choices, size, handles 170 watts, sound and cheap.

Weakness:

None

I bought these for my last car just to upgrade the stock system. I powered them with a high powered Kenwood CD Player and was amazed by the clarity. I know anything sounds better than a stock system but these rocked. I let my friend have a listen (he owns top end stuff like a full MB Quart system with Alpine amps, JL subs and PPI crossover, etc...) and he was even impressed. Unfortuantly, I sold my car and forgot to take the capacitors out. I replaced them with some 6k capacitors and had to move them to the doors from the dash on my new SUV. The sound??? Well, not so good, but I blame it on location and frequency. I still rate these high.
