Strength:

for the money, i don't think they can be beaten. the crossovers look very cool, and i like the adjustable tweeters, a nice touch, especially if you have to mount them on the mirror brackets like i did as i didn't have time to do some kickwell builds ready for a show.

i was a little sceptical of the dual mag system at first, it just doesn't look like it could cope with much power and bass, but they don't do that bad.

Weakness:

not a lot of bass. the standard speakers in my ford KA chucked out twice as much bass. thad said, i now have two kenwood 12inch DB+ subwoofers in the boot, running off of a kenwood PS-401M amp, which means bass isn't really something i care about in the front of the car anymore :)

i'm only running them from the kenwood 4x45w head unit at the moment, i'm sure when i install a 4 channel amp for them the vocals will be much clearer.

you're getting what you pay for, they aren't a top end competition component set, they aren't cheap rubbish.

they're nice.

you get a warm sound, with a good soundstage, and i'm only running them from the head unit.
can't wait until i get a 4x100w amp for them, then i'd think about getting another pair, and having two sets up front, i don't have speakers in the back, it's only a small ford ka, so i don't think i need them as i have two 12inch subwoofers in the boot.
i'd recomend these to anybody who does't want to spend any more money than this, in the price range, i found them the best

standard ford setup
there was lots more bass with the standard ones, but it wasn't that controlled, these have the control over the bass. the vocals are amazine, it sounds like andrea corr has her face in my lap!

cant' really compare the two, the ford ones had plastic baskets!

Model Reviewed: 1999

Strength:

good at listenable volume, cool pink speakers, solid construction

Weakness:

a little tinny when pushed, crossovers dont seem terribly good as the tweeters sound muddied, should be clearer for this amount of wedge

THEY DO THE JOB REQUIRED, YET LACK WARMTH AND CLARITY UNLIKE INFINITY,
U GET THE IMPRESSION THAT KENWOOD GO MORE FOR LOOKS THAN SOUND QUALITY, ALTHOUGH I AM ABOUT TO BUY A 301t 2 channel amp and my current four channel is not doing the components justice.
