Running of my head unit with 22 watts rms, they are a world up from the factory speakers. It plays down to about 30hz, but don't think that it'll play subwoofer style sound, you can barely hear the low frequencies with this speaker, but the mid-bass is nice. The tweeter is sparkly and does it's job, but not nearly as nice as the infinity reference 3.5" i have in my dash. also fit in my 5x7 openings, so they probably have more potential with an amp being that they are 6x8

very little bass with my head unit power only, i'm guessing if you gave them their peak 50rms they'd be a lot bummier.

good speaker, I'm sure you can get it for a lot cheaper on an auction site online, but i needed wiring harnesses and some other adaptors, and crutchfield gave it all to me for free....plus shipping is cheap.
