Pioneer TS-D680R Speakers

Pioneer TS-D680R Speakers

DESCRIPTION

The TS-D680R 6"x8" speakers are outfitted with premium materials — Aramid fiber, a lightweight but very strong material, creates an extremely rigid woofer cone that responds quickly and accurately. These cones are based on Pioneer's PRS Series speakers (winners in the 2000 IASCA S/Q Finals), and they move big bass with low distortion, even when your system is firing on all cylinders.

The tweeter lens sports a molded "wave guide" that controls the high frequency dispersion pattern for excellent sweet spot imaging. Laminated polyester fiber soft dome tweeters put out crystalline highs, while a built-in rear damping chamber extends midrange response for further refined detail.

The TS-D680Rs are plenty efficient, so you can drive them off a high-powered in-dash receiver's built-in amplifier. But they will perform their best when used in combination with an external amplifier with an RMS wattage rating that falls within the speakers' recommended power range.
