Strength:

Clean sound price quality midbass and highs

Weakness:

Um, bass. But hey, they are 5 1/4 coax''s, not subs.

I got 2 pairs of these 5 1/4 Polks for my Jeep Cherokee. I put them in the factory holes to keep things simple. They are getting power from a Kenwood 516S cd player. On just deck power these speakers kick ass! Great midbass and highs. I would recomend Polk''s to anyone. These speakers are really clean sounding, no coloration of the music, and they dont distort when you turn it up. If you are looking for coax speakers, get Polk EX''s.

Strength:

For their size these speakers sound exceptionally clear. The highs, while not a silk dome, are very pleasant. I paid 145 for 4 502s shipped from crutchfield, buy 1 pair get the second 1/2 off.

Weakness:

nothing

For the price you get a great speaker from a name you can trust with quality sound.

Strength:

Totally outstanding. The best 5.25 speakers I have ever heard, I cant wait to upgrade to Polk EX 5.25 Components. These 2-Way speakers are truly remarkable, exactly what I expect from Polk. They are even louder than the Polk dX 5.25 because the dB rating is 91 and the dX 5.25 is 88. Good clean bass, and incredible highs.

Weakness:

Nothing

I paid $89 for these, and I would DEFINITELY recommend these sweet babys to anyone who is even THINKING about getting a 5.25 pair of speakers. Just remember that Polk Audio is the best, say byebye to Memphis, MB Quart, Infinity, JL, etc.

Polk EX 4x6 2-Way. Had them for 25 days and then traded them in for the 5.25's and I'm am more than happy, ALOT more bass, ALOT louder. The front of my car sounds like a auditorium.

Strength:

Clean sound, easy install, price

Weakness:

not enough bass

These speakers are wonderful compared to the factory speakers that were in my car originally. But in order to get a good amount of bass on these speakers, you'll need to crank up the bass. overall these are good speakers for the price and give these a try b4 u go out and buy a pair

Strength:

nice wrinkle paint, don`t need that tacky tar to keep grill on

Weakness:

lack of bass

paid 89 at CC, this is a 5 1/4 speaker.Only had them for a week but the bass is lacking the impact of my 2 year old Alpines (also 5 1/4 ),but the Polks have excellant midrange, nicely detailed and full. The highs seemed almost shrill, but fiddling with the treble fixed that. The Alpines had almost twice the magnet but in retrospect were all highs and lows with very little in between.I think these would be very good as part of a speaker system, but as stand alone coaxials the bass could be better. PS,the radio is a rather inexpensive JVC 20 wpc cassette player.

Strength:

great highs with out distortion, go great wiht a complete system.

Weakness:

none that i have found out yet

These are excellent midrange speakers that give you great highs, but do not get distorted from bass output. If you are looking for bass dont look at coaxial midrange speakers, these are not built for deep bass sound. For those who dont know any better we forgive you.
