Strength:

They have a small mounting depth which was good for my car. They have a good sound to them, the tweeter is balanced right so that I can hear it in my doors but it isnt overpowering or underpowering. They do what they suppose to do.

Weakness:

There power handling is decent. They cant take bass as well, I recomend crossing them over if you are going to amp it. But I feel that this product is good for the money.

These speakers have a good sound to them, the tweeter is good. They dont cost a lot of money and had a decent sound to them. They sound good for a coaxial. Would buy them again if looking for coaxials.

Strength:

Nice and clean highs.

Weakness:

No Bass. But they're just 6.5" speakers. Didn't expect them to hit the lows anyway.

Paid $70 for them, plus $10 shipping. Yes, I recommend them, as along as you have a subwoofer to go with it.

My stock speakers had more bass but it didn't come close to the overall sound of the Polks.

Strength:

Good bass for a 6" speaker. These speakers fill up my car with good clean clean sound. Not power hungry either -- I am running them straight from an Alpine receiver (35 watts per channel.)

Weakness:

Took a long time to break in.

A great value for the $$. These speakers took over 100 hours of listening time to break in, but it was well worth the wait. The sound is tremendous.

Sony and Alpine. The Polks are by far the warmest, cleanest sounding car speakers I have ever had.

Strength:

Clean, loud, crystal clear mids and highs

Weakness:

Bass is rather weak

These things sound so good, and they are loud. I recommend it only for mids and highs, I put bass blockers on mine so they don't distort. Other than that, they sound excellent...

Model Reviewed: 97 RAV-4

Strength:

These speakers are exactly what I wanted. I bought 2 pairs to replace a tinny, but above average stock system in my girlfriends RAV-4, and bought a Kenwood Excelon KRC-X858 tape deck to go with them (no amp). Luckily, the headunit allows full control of the frequencies sent to all speakers (for highs and lows) by centering on the ideal frequency for the speakers. So, I haven't had any problems with the amount of bass with these. They are just 6 1/2 inch speakers, so they don't hit hard, but they do have a great bass sound for the size. Much better than stock! No doubt that for the money and for top quality sound, Polk Audio is the way to go.

Weakness:

That it seems if you don't have a top of the line headunit, these bad boys aren't as great for some as they are for us. These sound perfect.

I would HIGHLY recommend this speaker to anyone wanting better mids and highs for there car or truck. Especially if they are to replace a stock system...but I do recommend combining them with a quality headunit, and what else is great is that they can handle an amp for more power, and without one they still sound great. I had searched and tested all my ideas for components, and these are the best speakers I could find for the price. I would still go with Polk Audio if I was looking for under $200 a pair and wanted an even higher end mid-range. These were the best buy for top-notch sound.

Strength:

clear, crisp, warm sound. especially good highs from the semi silk/poly tweeters with average bass. i was afraid that i was ripped off the first time i heard these in my car, because the sound was a bit muffled. but i called polk and they told me to let the 602's break in. they were right - in about a week, the speakers were unbelievable

Weakness:

i wish they had a bit more bass. now, i have to think about subwoofers

for 6 1/2" speakers, i place more value on higher frequency accuracy compared to bass boom. the EX excels at the highs and has a warm, accurate midrange that fits my stevie ray albums perfectly. there's not much i can ask for considering the price

Weakness:

i recommend for every audiophile that research clear sound. I listen to one pair in a civic of one dealer (just one pair playing) and the sound was cleanner and louder than my entire 4 alpine speaker that was the best for me . So imagine pushing 4 polk in a car. Then i most change all my car systheme for polk for cheaper price !!!

Strength:

Easy installation, fit in stock location without any problems.

Weakness:

Very good midrange and accurate but not harsh highs. Pleasantly surprised with the amount of bass even though many people have complained about the lack of low end. I contribute this to the small passenger volume of the car.
