The 10" type R has a lot of good things going for it. I previously had a MTX 4500 12" 4 ohm speaker powered by a MTX RT202 pushing 225 watts in 1.5 cu. ft. sealed enclosure mat by MTX also, and push an easy over 118db. This 10" in a Audio Enhancer vented enclosure of 24" port vent size @ 22" port length. The enclosure is power by a alpine 450 amp that is pushing the sub @ 2 ohms @ 400 watts. This enclosure hits very hard. This sub hit harder than the MTX 12" ever did. I have owned a lot of different stereos in the past and I can say that I really enjoy the sound qaulity of this sub over any sub that I have ever had in the past. The one thing that sold me on this sub was watching some of the videos on your tube. There are plenty of them to see on that site. But, the this sub is something when you here is at the alpine deal does not sound that good, but when it is in a ported enclosure this sub really shines. I have the sub in a '06 matrix and it makes the head line shake. This sub for the amount of power put into is a great sub for someone who listens all the way from classical to a bass head. This is a sub that you have to experience for yourself and in person to truly get sense of what this sub can do.
