Strength:

they can handle more power than rated [just clean power]cheap cheap. audiobahn sold me 4 of these subs can be bought for 200.00 if u shop around

Weakness:

they make some pops at very high levels but that could be due to the 9.4 cubic foot box i have them in . other than that none ......

I have 4 of these subs in my grand am. I only bought them to use as spares [cause my cerwin vega strokers blow alot ]but i really seem to like the sound they make i have them tuned to around 42 hz in a ported spring box .and i send them around 250 watts rms to each voice coil. keep in mind i have 8 voice coils.but for the most part 4 of them = 2 of my strokers but not as deep but just as punchy.

I like the low bass I get from these subwoofers, but their is no highs. I pump these subs with a 1400w legacy amp. I thought that that much power whould blow these 400w RMS speakers ! I use them in a bandpass box and they rock the block and barley move, if you know what mean! Im going to get somthing better from audiobanh. I don''t thank that their is another brand name that compares to AUDIOBAHN ! Excellent deal for the price!

Weakness:

they would start to move a lot more that they need to sometimes but that could have been from being in a ported box

Jazz notes.

Great subs for the price. I running an MTX 6500D to these @ 4ohms sending about 200 watts to each & they sound great SQ/SPL level. Doesnt like Jazz , on the other hand Rap, R&B, POP notes are awesome. The subs are in a audiobahn sealed box 1.5cuft each head unit set @ 60hz, stuffed with polyfill.

Strength:

long Xmax, sounds good, 2 of them just fit in my car, quality design.

Weakness:

seems to sound springy *may just be my amp. box size, the gloss layer on top of the sealant layer may begin to "crack" forming dozens of white lines only marginally thicker than a human hair, but these don't affect performance.

I enjoy these speakers, although the reccomended box size for the 1251x is actually too small on the audiobahn website. They list a 1 cubic foot enclosure as the right size. If you use a calculator, this will give you a Qtc of about .9. while this is acceptable, the Qtc should be closer to 0.7. tha would require a box 1.75 cubic feet. a box that size would thus reduce its power handling potential (unless you like blowing speakers out). I still enjoy them, although I am mad at purchasing two at 130 each, then seeing auctions for 99 for 2. I'll just assume that they charge 150 s/h! The subs look good too. also, make sure to fill the box with polyfill.
