Strength:

Affordable. Small. Responsive. Sounds great. Self amplified.

Weakness:

Not competition bass. Sounds better than a lot of subwoofer boxes that cost a lot more (and have more power).

I've been using mine for over two years now. Bass is responsive and sufficiently loud (i don't want to go deaf). Its also nice and small, requires minimal wiring, and a great deal. This will be boomy if you don't follow the instructions and point the correct end at the frame of you vehical to properly direct the bass throughout your vehicle. A car enthusiast friend said they sound great but had some questions about how long they last. Mine sounds great running on two years now.

Strength:

low price more low end than I'd expected (and then some) portability

Weakness:

hmm...wasn't free?

You often hear how these powered Bazooka subs are not to be confused (or sometimes even compared) with a "real" subwoofer setup - i.e., separate amp, box, woofer...the real deal. Well, maybe so. If you're looking to unhinge doors, stun small animals and generally disturb the peace, perhaps the Bazooka option is not for you. But if you're interested in fleshing out the music you play in your car with the low-end audio spectrum it was meant to have, then do yourself a favor and consider the all-in-one approach. I've never before gone beyond good quality door mounted speakers, so only now - a few days after installing the Bazooka EL10A-HP - do I realize what I've been missing: the rest of the music. Between the limitations of even a good deck, road noise and other inherent limitations of the auto environment, I'd long since figured that the low end was meant for home system enjoyment only. I was wrong. Really, do yourself a good turn; shop around, verify the reliability of your seller, and dive in. I found mine for $140.00, including shipping. Do some research and you can no doubt do much the same. Then come back here to this great resource of consumer feedback and tell us what you think.

Strength:

Fairly easy installation, made my stereo sound way better.

Weakness:

A little boomy but for the price who cares

I don't have a lot of experience in car subs but it sounded like I spent a 1000 bucks on my stereo, the added bass made a huge difference. I got a great deal on this, even with uBids crazy a$$ shipping prices. I would definitely recommend at this price, but not at the recommended price.
