i have 2 of the graphite injected polypropylene subs in a sealed box, set off in the back of my 95 z28, with a 400 watt (2x200 rms watts) amp goin to em. these things turn heads, and ive gotten lots of good comments. they sure beat payin 2 or 3 times as much, for ones that dont sound any better a.k.a.(the popular ones) hehe, cuz thats all they are. if u want some badass bass, and dont wanna get ripped off, buy these subs. they wont let u down, and they look damn good takin up my back window, hehe:) peace

Strength:

They're Blaupunkt. What else needs to be said. The only way I would get rid of these is if I could step up to some Blaupunkt Overdrive subs. That would be the only way to beat these subs.

Weakness:

Foam surrounds even though they do take a beating.

I am only giving these subs about 85-90 watts with a P.O.S. Jensen amp and these babies still give off some major bass. The only reason I am online right now is to find a new amp so that I can punish the subs some more. The more power and volume I give them the more they want. I got these subs used at a pawn shop for 100 bucks for them both in a bandpass box. I got rid of the box and threw the subs in a sealed. I would have kept the old box but it could not handle the subs. The box was rattling!! I prefer these subs in a sealed enclosure anyways. If you don't get a set of these subs it better be because you are getting some Blaupunkt OD1200's instead!

Kicker, Orion, Rockford. I would rather buy a Blaupunkt sub then be given a Rockford sub. All you Rockford and Kicker losers don't know what you are missing.

Strength:

price ,price,price/ pound, pound, pound. Good spl sensitivity, poly formed cone and power handling 200w RMS/ 600 peak and a frequency response down to 20hz. I have four 12's in my extended cab s-15/ one cabinet but each sub has its own complete/sealed enclosure of 1.0 ft. I also put some things called variovents in the back of the cabinet behind each sub. It is a resonance lowering airflow resistance device. It is driven by a soundstream rubicon 805 five channel amp which delivers 400 watts rms to the subs at a 1 ohm load. I looked for 3 months before buying because I needed the 1 ohm load to get the power out of my amp but I didn't want to 2nd mortgage my house. Excellent affordability and sound from a proven performer.

Weakness:

The only weakness is the foam surround although it is treated. Hell, I can't complain for the price.

Why would I reccomend it? The price versus performance is as good as you can get. Works in any enclosure (sealed, vented, bandpass) and box size from .75 -2.0 cubic ft per sub. Bottom line, a trusted name in car audio at a super price with performance that will eliminate competitors costing 4 times as much.

I've used M&M subs (hey, I've been around a while) mtx, kenwood, pyle and pioneer. I'm very impressed with their performance. I wish I could compare them to something like infinity perfect 12.1 . Without any doubt this sub is a performer; unlike many other manufacturers Blaupunkt gives detailed information on the size of box for the type of music you listen to. The retail price on them is about $125 but I purchased mine from Millenniumsound on ebay for $48 each.

Strength:

I have owned this Blaupunkt subwoofer for over 3 years now and I have to tell you this PCWG120 Blaupunkt subwoofer, puts all those little weak ass toy subwoofers in the garbage! I am giving 250RMS with my kenwood amp and still no distortion! No matter how much I pound this baby it can take the beating! Its so loud that you can hear it from one block down! And yes it sets off some alarms! Amazing BASS! I used Blaupunkt for more than 3 years, its simple the best speakers in the world!

Weakness:

There are no weakness, its German, what do you accept! These stupid ass Armerican companies can't make even one woofer that lasts at least 1 year!

I would recommend these subwoofers to anyone that likes LOUD BASS POUNDING! and a person who loves to play it loud and go deaf and loud pressure levels! And a message to those American companies, learn how to make subwoofers, you guys can learn alot from the Germans! Best speakers cars, and girls! By the way, if you are wondering if I get girls with these subwoofers yes I do! When I had the Kenwood installed I was getting old people in my car because it wasn't loud! It looked like something died in my speaker! Thanks Blaupunkt for making wonderful speakers! You even improved my life style with these speakers! Girls, Girls and more Girls!
Take care all!!

Strength:

Very cheap, acually do very well in SPL shootout's.

Weakness:

it should have rubber surround insted of foam.

I paid $60 each and have used Blaupunkt for years. I have beat all kinds of more expensive subs. I had 2 pcwg120's hitting 142.6 in my Celica, and was only in street class. I don't care what anybody else says about Blaupunkt they are bad a$$ subs. I would recommend them to anyone and let them see for themselves. I have used them in sealed boxes from .6 cubic ft to 1.5 cubic ft, and in Bandpass. They did very well in all of them. The smaller the inclosure the higher the spl.

Strength:

they are very, very cheap

Weakness:

the need big enclosures

I had two kenwoods from last year, i made the enclosures the manual said and drove them with the exact power the said, and i blowned them just in one month, 4 monhts ago i found the blaupunkts each for 38 dollars and with the same amp they kick ass and i am not driving them with full power. I am not saying that they are the best subs in the market, but for a beginner they can set sonme alams off

cheap cheap cheap

Weakness:

there are ok if you are on a buget and you want subs now, i wanted the boston pro's or the kickers but i am not paying 200 for a single specker

i got 2 12" subs for $140 from Sounddomain.com, there where cheap and are good enough for me, i have these 2 12" subs running off of a 2 channel lightning audio strike s2.300 the amp puts out 90watts a channel and dose the job pushing them.

want a decent cheap sub, Blaupunkt PCWG 120 are great, if you got money to burn, take a look at the bostons, kicker, and eclipse
