Strength:

Very loud and very good sound. Buy 1 Get 1 Free!

Weakness:

NONE

I am in the car club SO LOWS and have called every subwoofer company to sponsor me and my truck. No one from any of these companies even called me back. My Dad told me to call CRANKENSTEIN because he said he used them back in the day because they were the best and that they are made in the United States. I called them and they said that they would sponsor me and that they will sponsor anyone in any car club. And that they will sponsor my friends too. I bought one of their woofers for $279 and they gave me one for free! I am now telling everyone about this. They also told me about Drop Jaw Magazine and now I am going to go to some of their shows with my new slammin' truck!

Strength:

i couldn't tell you. probably in the paperweight field. i bet they make great paperweights

Weakness:

they don't sound good. they overcharge, and the list goes on. a person with a good ear for speakers would be unimpressed to say the least

these speackers are pieces of (insert bad thing here) . don't get me wrong, back in the day i heard they were good. so i bought some and they were they absolute worst speakers i have ever been doomed to get. the poor costomers that have to get this tragedy should riot against the failure that put out this abomonation of speakers. i hope someone reads this review and realizes that they could get better speakers at walmart.

do not buy these speakers, they are a steaming pile of....well, you know. go anywhere else and you'll probably pay less and get better quality. trust me, the other reviews were either miracles or lies. don't buy crankenstein speakers!!!

Dr Crankenstein

Strength:

Dr. Crankenstein is an extremely well built American-made product. Dr. Crankenstein's broad range of speakers were designed to fit the pocket of a struggling music lover working fast food. And even the most demanding World-Class SPL contender. Dr. Crankenstein speakers, the owners of the company and their customers were always rebels. Trust me we had a great time. And who could have ever thought of a better name. Dr. Crankenstein "Rockin' the Livin' and Wakin' the Dead"

Weakness:

There are none. Except for maybe that shade-tree installer that may have installed them improperly and didn't give them the chance to really come to life.

In all my years of being in the car audio industry no other speaker company has come close to the value and performance of the Dr. Crankenstein line. Dr. Crankenstein came to life in 1989 when I was 26 years old. I owned a small car audio shop in Westwood, KY. My lifelong friend Ed, was 24 at the time and attending the University of Kentucky. I had the idea to start my own speaker company and compete with the likes of Rockford, Kicker and JBL. A few thousand borrowed dollars later, and Ed and I started Dr. Crankenstein. I can assure you that the car audio world was not ready for us. We were thrown out of practically every car audio show we attended. In 1989 people didn't want what Dr. Crankenstein had to offer, which was unbelievably loud car audio systems. You have to remember, back then the average car audio customer was over 25 years old. We kept fighting the industry's bureaucracy and resistance until the other manufacturers realized that extremely loud systems appealed to a "wilder" spending group (people under 25). The next thing we knew all the other manufacturers were bringing their own loud vehicles to the shows and voila, the SPL craze that we all know today was born. It's a good thing, because without the excitement of the SPL craze, the industry would have been dead long ago. Ed and I feel that Dr. Crankenstein "pioneered" (no pun intended) the SPL craze. Looking back, it's funny how two kids with all the odds against them were able to change the course of an entire industry. But we did. To all our friends and followers, thanks for the years we really enjoyed them.

Model Reviewed: DR CRANKENSTEIN PRO 15

Strength:

low price, small enclosure, santoprene surround is unusual when compared with most double surround subs

Weakness:

no gold, no chrome, no cast, stripped down model.

The new Dr Crankenstein Pro 15 is equivalent to the Kove Armegeddon for 1/3 the price. Hits hard even with only 300 watts. Works in small enclosures down to 1.5 cu. ft.

Strength:

Great power handling....worth the price.....and OUTSTANDING!

Weakness:

None whatsoever!

I just bought 2 15" Crankenstein Subs powered by a 1500 watt Legacy amp to put in th trunk of my neon. I just have to say these subs kick BUTT! They are the hardest hitting sub I''ve ever used. And I''ve used them all. I would highly recommend anyone to get these if you can find them. They are the best.

Similar Products Used:

All of them. But you couldn''t compare a Crankenstein to a Fosgate or MTX. Its like comparing a monster truck to a go-kart.
