Model Reviewed: Jbl GTO 804

Strength:

Extended bass in small sealed enclosure. Good pitch. Fast bass. High efficiency. Robust construction. Easy integration with any system.

Weakness:

Less SPL than a big sub.

I'm not a car audio specialist but home audio audiophile. I just want a better sound in my Civic 2007. First, I had upgraded the front speakers in the Civic with a pair of Focal Polyglass 165V1 (very good for the price and easy to drive with the OEM radio). I had also installed a PhoenixGold XS124DVC in the truck but the box is too big s I bought the JBL GTO804.

I chose the GTO804 for their small size, small sealed box, hight efficienty, and low fs. I'm not desappointed. Installed on the floor between the rear seats, the sub offer a very good sound for the price. Tight and extended. It play just fine with jazz and speedy double drum of heavy-metal. Better than 12 inches PhoenixGold that I had used before in the trunk. This is not for SPL but for good bass, it worth the price.
