Strength:

Pretty powerful in bass response!

Weakness:

Sounded kinda muddy, i think it was because i had it in a wrong box.

Overall pretty good JL sub. Very good bass response thats for sure. I wired mine in 2 ohm mono on my Rockford Fosgate amp it gives the best bass possible for a single 12" subwoofer only rated 300 watts RMS but it sound pretty clean i highly recommend these JL subs as they are known for high quality products! Buy your self one and hear it your self!

Model Reviewed: 12w3v2d4

Strength:

Very hard hitting bass, with extreme clarity, not a "muddy" sound at all. Very light compared to other subs as well.

Weakness:

ported box application is way to big for one sub. 29" x 14' 12. for one sub.

I have one of these speakers in a 1.25 cubic ft box with with it ported and it is as loud and precise as 2 Pioneer 10 inch championship series subs. it is being pushed by a Power Acoustik A2400db mono amp receiving 1400 watts rms and taking it like a champ!!!!! that is 1100 watts past its thermal breakdown barrier!!
I drive around all day with it at full volume hitting over 100 db. When ised in a vented or ported box the required specs are 2+ cubic ft, imagine if i actully put this thing in the right box....
