Strength:

This subwoofer works great with any system, any amp, and any style of music. It gives just enough power to fill that bass void in the stock system that's in your car without making your kidneys sore every time you turn it on. However, it does pump pretty good when you crank it. It's a great little unit, and for $65 you can't go wrong buying it. Kenwood makes a good product with a great warranty. I suggest that anybody looking for deep, manageable bass for cheap cost to look into one of these.

Weakness:

This subwoofer is not, by any means, a sub that's built for volume competition. It does pump fairly great volumes when cranked, but it wouldn't stand a chance against most competition systems. Also, the 45hz and lower range are a bit quiet on this sub, but nothing that a good amp-tweaking can't fix. Other than that, there aren't too many weaknesses extending from this subwoofer.

This is a great subwoofer for anybody who is looking for good sound quality on a budget. As a person who doesn't have a lot of money, I bought this subwoofer in hopes that it might not blow the first time I used it -- it's been going strong for more than a year. It's not the type of subwoofer that will break the windows of the downtown Quik-e-Mart, but it'll give a nice, deep, strong rumble. Great for an entry level competition system or just someone looking for more quality than bass.

Strength:

Real cheap. Good bass, doesn't distort with my setup.

Weakness:

Not the best for REAL enthusiasts. Slight lack of bottom (50hz-ish) end.

I paid $60 Canadian, so don't freak out. A great entry level sub. I'm on a tight budget, so I only have 1 of these in a homemade 1.0 cubic foot sealed enclosure, and it's powered by a Rockford Fosgate 150S amp (150w RMS rated, but the paper that came with the amp said that it actuall puts out 192w RMS). The sub does a really nice job filling out the bass in my car. It's not a window-rattling bass, though. It's enought that you can hear it a ways away, and you can feel the bass throught the seatbacks. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Great for the budget car audio system. I have my amp set at +6db @45hz bass boost, without it the very bottom bass isn't strong enough. If your amp doesn't have a low frequency bass boost, maybe steer clear of this sub.

My first sub, but I've listened to many, many different systems.
