Strength:

great sound q great price to quality ratio handles more power than most 8's good looking sub has high end features like rubber magnet boot, high quality push terminals, rubber gasket.

Weakness:

It's minimum sealed volume is .4 ft3, which is a little larger than most 8's at .3. So if you are really trying to cram alot of subs into a small space like my roomate, you end up needing a liitle more air than other 8's. But that spec does include magnet and basket displacement. Other than that, none.

First off, let me start by saying how surprised I was about this sub. It is a .45 ft3 sealed enclosure recieving 225 watts rms. I own a standard cab 92 chevy, and was wanting to add bass. I wanted to a 10, but not want to sacrifice the legroom. I reluctantly bought the 8, and wow. The sub plays tight, accurate bass will taking up little room (still have room for my amp and tool box behind my seat) I didn't the sub would hit that hard, but while playing rap, or korn, it will shake all my mirrors, my doors, even my steering column. In a larger cab truck, or a car, you may need more than one. But if you have a small cab truck like an s 10, it is great. Don't get me wrong, people are going to hear you coming from a block away, but in the cab it sounds great.

Strength:

Strong points: tight bass, does not need a large box, relatively cheap

Weakness:

weak points: not good for "bumping", have to find a smallish bridgable amp to not exceed its 200wrms power handling, more expensive than most 8inch woofers on market.

First off, I will cover the listening environment. The car is a 92 ford mustang hatchback. Component list JVC cd reciever 3.5" , 5.25", and 5x7" infinity reference coaxials (the mustang does have bigger door and rear holes, but I found some depth clearnace issues), all running off the speaker outs on the JVC. 160-watt JBL amplifier (feeding this sub) The sub was mounted into a 8" truck box and mounted flat in the back af the hatch facing upward (yep, just a single sub). Upon initial listening I was not impressed, I just couldn't hear it, So I ended up turning hte inout on the amp all the way up...it helped a bit but still souded wrong...Once i finally got my hand on a test disc, I managed to find out the x-over point was too high..lowered that a bit and VOILA! This sub is not a block rocker, but with the right material, you can feel it hit. It's stringest point is the tightness and accuracy of the bass. It is more suited towards rock and blues than rap or electronica (not bad at rap, but a 10 would be better for anything that bass laden). Best part is the price is downright affordable, the sub, with box, amp and cabling all came out to $220 whne I bought them. For a system you just wnat to sound good, and not take up much space you can't go wrong with this sub.
