Big bass in a small box!! I bought a Kicker S10D for $20.00 at a swap meet and built a small enclosure for it and wooow I am impressed by the sound!! I powered it with a Rockford Fosgate Punch 75.2 amp bridged mono. I recommend this sub to anyone looking for big bass in a small package!

Weakness:

Does distort alittle when pushed hard but other than that it bumps good to RBL Posse (:

I most definitly recommend this sub the kicker s10d because it requires a small box!!

Strength:

killer lOWS

Weakness:

No highs hardly might ad a 12 for mids and highs.

I bought 2 solobaric 15s with an 800 watt Punch amp for $240 and threw it in a 1995 Buick Century I had 2 polk audio 12s with a 1200 wat Xplod amp. With the fifteens my face gets torn apart and my ear drums are flexing like a miniwoofer.

I did ad a second amp and sub to the polks before i got the kickers and it wasnt even close.

Strength:

low wattage to push them, small box, low frequency, great response

Weakness:

wouldn''t pay as much as everyone is paying for them, unless you have a hook up.

These were some great subs. They could hit every beat a 10 and 12 could hit. carries out the low bass pretty good.

Strength:

It Broke my Quarter windows in my hatchback! It plays deep frequencies hella nice.

Weakness:

My alternative music duznt have alot of low frequencies, so therefore my subs arent thumping. Oh well!

I ran 3 of them to a zr1000. They were 8 ohm wired in parralell. I was getting ready for a competition and i blew my back window out. Pretty narly. You could barley sit in it. If u luv that deep lowwwww bass, get them. I have them in a honda hatchback, custom box. I blew my zr1000, the ground got knocked loose or something. I hooked a punch 250, and i angled the box towards the hatch....and i swear, it almost hit as hard as the zr1000.

Strength:

Powerful / Competative pricing / durable

Weakness:

Too boomy / Unstable

Well my cousin just got rid of these so I'll tell you about his experiences with them. He got them for his Explorer about 5 months ago wanting to add a system to his new ride. He ran them off and old amp (I don't remember the brand or power rating, but it was half-decent) and tried them out. I wasn't initially impressed at all, thinking that the bass was too boomy and loud. After a while, I got used to them and the began to grow on me, though only slightly.

If you want a cheap way to increase bass response, here ya go. But be warned, you WILL NOT be happy with the way these things handle rock music. They make the sound muddy and sound plain bad. If you want to add bass to your system and are not into rap, try the Pioneer TS-W203C's, they're much better suited to other types of music.

However, if you're into rap but don't have the money to invest in Strokers, give these a try. Just don't expect a really smooth ride.

Strength:

Very loud sound, which is good, and VERY good return on the amps I'm putting into it.

Weakness:

A little bit too bassy. I told the salesperson that I wanted to listen to rock and stuff, not gangster rap. Nothing against rap, it's just the bass isn't my thing. I think I got oversold on this one.

I paid about 450$Cdn for it, but the guy who sold it to me was quitting his job that week, so I think I got a deal. :) I would recommend it if you want good LOUD bass, without too much pop. It likes to boom more than punch, if you know what I mean. The impact is quite loud in a 84 RX7 though. :) It's fiberglassed in the back with an amprack, and it does overheat itself sometimes in the summer on long drives. That could be the amp though, and not the speaker. A good sub, but pricey I think.

Strength:

It does gat lound between 40-50hzt. But that about it. & it takes a small
box.

Weakness:

It donnot have that low end response. I woundnt recommend it if you are
looking for a musical sub. They is only design to hit hard at 40-50 hertz
from 30 on down they don't hit as hard. Not very musical at all

I was realy diappointed in the subs. they are not very musical at are. If
your looking to hit high spl at 40-50 htz this is the sub for you. they
donnot play any mid bass either. I was running a mmatt 300hc & they
sounded a little better. They reqire tremendous amount of power. Very
inaficient. The worst part about the whole situation,I blew one of them
at least I think I did. I got rid of them & gotten Two rockford fosgat
power 15s wich I feal are much better sub sounding wise. they hit hard at
any fre.& go pretty low at the right port size of 12in. They donot have
any peaks in the response like the solos had. Subs are to punchy for me. I
really think that because of its box size. Subs that take a small box
like the solos take tends to hit hard at higher fre. that big box subs.
