tons of excursion, low bass, quick bass change and clarity
Weakness:
Makes all lights in car dim from the pull and i know i now get a cap. I have just purchased a Kicker Xlp 12" with a Alpine 500 wattbridged making like 900 watts (what it says in owners mauanl), The system has been tuned by a professional. The Sub has twice as much as my brother 10" JL's and the sound is clear not distored and has TONS and TONS of low bass with little volume at head unit. My system has a big sealed box that out proforms my brothers 2 10" JL 10w0-8 in every thing but Stupid UNCLEAR BASS that bugs the poop out of me. (in lamemans terms my system out proforms 2 10" JL 10w0-8 in a band pass box with a 500/1 jl amp.) my system has somuch bass it sets peoples alarms off Similar Products Used: My set up: Kenwood Kdc-316s Stock Speakers(updating soon) 4 Gauge power and ground wire 40 amp fuse 12" Kicker XPL Sealed Box Alpine mrv-t500 v12 series Simluar product i used or have heard JL 10" 10w0-8 jl amps Mtx amps and subs Clarion heads Pioneer heads kenwood Speakers |

Solid, high power handeling, sound quality, can go DEEP with no problem !!!
Weakness:
They dont make them no more, Kicker comp vr are the closest now. No dual voice coil. I have 2 4 ohm 12" xpl kickers wired in to 2 ohms in a custom ported box, a kicker kx600.1, a fosgate 1 frad cap, 4 guage wire, 400 watt power acoustik amp on my mb quart mids highs tweets, clarion mp3/cd head unit, optima yellow top batery, in my 97 acura cl. These things POUND !!! I am quite impressed with these kickers, even when I had less of an amp on them they were still loud. The sound quality now is impressive. I love them !!! Very tight and able to drop low!
Weakness:
There are none! I have 3 of these tens in a box with seperate enclosures,they are 8 ohms so i'm running them at 2.66 ohms mono,these subs are incredible,i'm hittin 150 in the lanes,and the SQ is supreme,2000 was the best year for these subs because Kicker beefed up the suspension and the cone went to composite.These three subs scare my friends and make me happy! Strength:
Very fast step rate and low group delay (in english this means very fast sounding) tons of excursion, very very high effenciency which makes it very loud at mininal power input
Weakness:
There best year for the design was 1997, unfortunatly these are hard to find. for this year they were the best subs around. the price tag is fairly steep brand new actually Stunning subwoofer, this can work in every box possible.
