Strength:

It is very tight sub so yes it is loud but it has nice sound to it.

Weakness:

I am worried about my windows cracking.

I don,t know what all you guys have heard or think you know. But I have a pt cruiser with ONE Juggernaut 15" and a modified mmats amp pushing 3000 watts. I have a one extra battery, one capacitor, and nice cd player everything else is stock. I hit a 154.8db at the USAC regionals is cooksville, tn. NO i don,t have a sound wall just a virtualtechnology box. And yes i drive my vehicle every day because its the only one i have. Mmats does rule if you are willing to pay a little bit more for the best. It is all worth it when you smoke a guy with 12 12inch woofers.

ITS PUCKIN LOUD! Its a beasty looking sub if nothing else and i guess i got it for a steal...retail is high!

Weakness:

hmm...spl freaks down it alot... thats about it

I am VERY impressed by my new juggernaut 12... I myself am a daily driver kinda guy who likes to brag to his friends that his 1 12 is louder than there 2,4,6,8, and so on.. so for me this sub is great... I've heard alot of good about this sub and a few bad(mostly from people who go to a bunch of comps) but for an every day system nut it suits me just right!:)

loud and get violent

Weakness:

id rather go with beyond audio inhumans much louder and sound better.. but a little more cheese required

to the guy on june 6th that said 2 subs cant reach 150 or whatever...look below... your fu(kin stupid... goto dbdragracing and find like 10,000 people that can reach over 160 with 1-2 subs.... for example... nathan munson... this year he hit 170.1 certified with one dd 10" sub and 2 viper amps... can you say PERFECT SETUP ... i have hit 162.3 with 2 subs myself so dont tell me you cant so :p!!!!!!!!! im replying to : Refering to 2 MMATS 15 inch Juggernauts. I Heard 2 of them in a demo vehicle powered individually by a MMATS D200HC bridged to mono. They were both enclosed in a HUGE ported enclosure that took the whole back side on a Ford Explorer. I will admit, they are VERY LOUD BUT would be very luck to reach 147 to 148 decibels legally. Real tested output is as good as it gets for one 15 inch woofer at 137db with over 3,000 watts r.m.s driving it in a test lab. So, 2 woofers might achieve 6dbs more. Does anyone think people are so stupid as to believe 2 speakers of any kind can approach levels above 150db? If you are that ignorant then you need to save your money and buy a Walkman. These subs are loud but not very subtle. I prefer the sound of JL Audio and will be purchasing a pair of 12W7's and soon as they become more affordable. I am not retarded like a lot of bassheads and demand sound quality as well as SPL with my purchase. Juggernauts are not for Audiophiles, just competitors who are sponsored to win SPL competitions and THAT IS IT! These do not sound good with various music.

Weakness:

it sounds like ass... but hey im willing to give up some sq for 148db!!! it sounds better than my 18 did too

this sub rules.... i havn't had it to a comp yet but it kills my 18" hx2 that i used to have and it hit 143.6db im guessing around 147db i have witnessed one of these things hit 148.6 db with only 1 15" in the trunk of a cavalier!!!!!!!! these things rock!!!

Responding to the comment about 2 15s not being able to produce 150. You are full of it. I have read the test review you are refering to and the reason it was not louder is because of the box. A large ported box can hit about 12 to 15 louder at one frequency than a sealed box. Second the car has a resonance freq. which will allow peaks that can be used to the users advantage. Third a second sub will give 3 db not 6db. This is the way cars in db drag street 1-2 hit 155 with 2 12s and one amp with a legal measurement

Strength:

Strong SPL output, solid construction, very tough cone, strong surround, nice looks, very durable.

Weakness:

Sound quality. Ineffecient. Must be ported to achieve SPL standards which consumes too much airspace. You need very strong high current amps to drive which forces you to upgrade your factory electrical system to accomodate properly.

I just got a question for the group. Ok I had 2 kicker compeitions in my old car and I realized I needed more bass to make me happy so I figured I''d go all out and buy all the best equipment. So I was wondering how the 12" juggs compared to the JL 12W7''s?

I don´t know this for sure but I read somewhere that it is impossible for a regular speaker to produce spl higher than 176dB, due too the fact that a vacuum will occure in front of the cone and as all know that sound = movement of air therefore no air = no sound... i´m not saying it is not possible to produce sounds beyond 176 dB, just not with a conventionel speaker. nasa has produced a sound over 200 dB but that was with a 14m (5512") horn made of steel and concrete, that was in open air. if a car does 170dB it is in a very confined space. the nasa horn produced sound a 1000 (thousand)times louder in open air.
