Model Reviewed: 97 200SX SE-R

Strength:

Price was 125 each. Two 8ohms gave me my desired 4 ohm mono.

Weakness:

Doesn't play low or loud. Wasn't too impressively clean either.

Wouldn't recommend. I had an SQ competition audio system and spent months making two separate sealed fiberglass enclosures exactly to spec for two MTX 7000 10" 8ohm subs. Fed them each 400 watts RMS. Car was broken into before I could compete, but I was very unimpressed. In the exact same vehicle (fully sound deadened and rear deck cut out) I used a very cheap Rockford Fosgate 12" XLC sealed with 300watts RMS while I was building the fiberglass enclosures and it was way louder, deeper, and at least as clean! True, it was a 12", but it is considered a cheap sub and had 500 watts less. I am now looking at a JL12W3 or JL15W3 for my QX4, but needless to say I won't be buying anymore MTX subs.
