Strength:

Loud, good sound when in the right setup.

Weakness:

hard to find the right size box. the specs for the box in the manual are wrong.

I have has these subs in three different boxes and with two different amps trying to find the right combo. And i have found it. so anyone who says these suck, its just becuase of your setup. Your box is probably to small. I first made a box that was about 5.5 cu.ft. the went to 5 and now it is about 6.2 and it is just right. and I also have a jbl bp1200.1 amp to push them at 2 ohms with 1200watts each (gain turned down). My system shakes the whole neighborhood, and sounds great. so get a good amp and the right size box and They will romp hard.

These are pretty good subs. For the price I would reccomend them. They arent in the same league is high end audio like eclipse, Jl w3 etc, but there good for the price. You could get these off ebay really cheap now. I wouldnt buy them because i have eclipse aluminums now, but theyre not bad. the triple 10 box is nice. They can get plenty loud, but I dont care for MTX sq.

When I first heard these subs they were in my friends' t-bird. I was a little disappointed at first with the sound from inside the car but that I contribute to the distortion from the back seat. Then he got a Gr. Cherokee and I heard them, that was when I knew I had to have some. So I bought his three subs in a closed Q logic box for 150 and got it with a kenwood 600w 2 channel amp. I have an 86 trans am and put them in the backseat. I may have sacrificed being able put people in my backseat but it's a small sacrifice compared to the quality of bass. It's very consistant as far as the quality of the sound. it works well with whatever music you like wether it be rap or rock (im into both) so i can't say enough about how much these subs kick ass.

in my openion hits the lows in rap quite well! (that's what they were having it test on) good looks quick responce

Weakness:

Not a very big magnet, even so does the job quite well!

to start off the thing that cought my attention to this sub was i saw it sitting in a bandpass box with an respectable sub company for $79 so i thought something was wrong with it (eg sub blown) so i went over and had them test it out....lets just say....the whole store heard the rumble from it and my mom sitting outside the store said she heard it quite well too!! and it turned out nothing was wrong with it at all, i haven't hooked it up to my amp yet but i bought a Jensen 600x4 amp (brand new lol) and plannin to hook it up sometime next month, so i'll write another review once i get it all hooked up

Strength:

loud i guess...and cheap (for a reason)

Weakness:

no depth, sq, clarity or anything good.

well i have to say this is in my opinion one of the worst subs i have ever heard. a good friend of mine has one in his tahoe with a kenwood 300 watt rms amp in a sealed box and it sounds terrible. it can get loud i guess, but sound quality is nowhere in sight. it doesnt even hit below 30hz. it sounds like crap. it has no definition or clarity. it is a waste of money imo.

Similar Products Used:

fosgate (similar quality) planet audio, which is good stuff, audiobahn alum12, good stuff, and ultimate cupric subs which are great. all of these subs possess quality sq and depth.
