Model Reviewed: MTX T4104 (2002)

Strength:

good, clean, and tight bass ... cheap.

Weakness:

cant think of any.

Powered with: 200 rms MTX RT200X and in an enclosure made to fit behind a truck seat. This speaker has sounded pretty good for how much I paid for it. I blew one of em because of too much gain, but I would have to say I get cleaner bass than many systems Ive heard and it thumps pretty hard. The last review says it sucks, but he didn't have enough power for it too sound good.

Strength:

Cheap bass for a budget install. Works good in sealed prefab boxes, or custom for you DIY''s. Doesn''t need a whole lotta power to be effective.

Weakness:

Can bottom out at times, and look pretty bland on the cone and magnet.

OK sub with decent SQ and SPL, but nothing great. For a budget install w/o buying over the net, these could be the way to go. I have about 150 w to each, and they sound okay. Add on a crossover for fine tuning and bass control to get the most out of these. Bottom out at super low, or super high frequencies, but who wants treble out of a sub????
