Strength:

Sounds great, very efficient. Hits hard, good low freq extension. Small

Weakness:

Probably not the most responsive at very low frequencies. Might be a better midbass than sub if you're a real basshead.

So far, I must say this is a great little sub. I bought two, but one of them is still in the box. I put the first one in a sealed .5 sq. ft. enclosure, and I'm feeding it 112w from a Zapco 100X amplifier. Even with the gain turned all the way down, this thing still overpowers all the other speakers in my car. To be fair, I have one component set up front and stock speakers in the rear deck of my Mirage, and they're both fed off a Blaupunkt deck. I'm sure if I amplified the front speakers the whole system would mix together better. But the bottom line is that this little 8" sub is surprizingly loud with only half it's rated RMS power. It hits fairly hard and sounds pretty good even at relatively low frequencies. Freq response is listed as 40-500hz. But it still reproduces sounds as low as 20hz, according to my Sheffield/Autosound test disc. I went with 8" for space considerations. Someday I intend to mount it in the rear deck like a free air installation (with a sealed box behind it). I may put the other one up front. 8 inches is really small. I listen to mostly rock/pop and classical music. This little sub really keeps up.
