BassMekanik1212

Strength:

Take all the power I'm giving it, about 1200 and asks for more. BUilt very well, thick rubber surround. 102oz. magnet. dual 4 ohm voice coil.

Weakness:

Haven't found one yet. maybe too loud?

I have 2 hooked up at 1 Ohm to a Audiobahn A1250HCQ at about 1200 watts RMS, and my god do these POUND! Clocked at about a half mile away. Built tough and hit low in a somewhat small box (2.0 sealed). I have the gain about 1/4 up and my remote bass all the way down and its almost unbearable. when the bass goes up it is unbearable. if i had to guess hitting close to 155.0 DBs

Strength:

Very loud, and very very good sound quality. Everything else in this price range has to jump up and swing up to punch phoenix gold in the knees.

Weakness:

none

First off, i am running these with only 380 watts going to the pair until i can get a new amp. Even though these are way underpowered, they are already loud enough to cause pain. I hit 135.6db with 380 watts sealed in 1.75 cu ft per (after displacement) That's really surprising given that i'm giving them about a quarter of the power they can handle. Although they are loud, what impresses me the most is the SQ these have. The transient response is amazing. They have such amazing accuracy even with extremely low freaquencies. I ran 10hz to them and it seriously made my car rock back and forth. At the price these are going for on ebay, you would be insane not to buy these subs over anything else in their price range. You're gonna have to spend the money for W7's, RE XXX, Brahma, IDQ MAX, DD 9000's, to get something better than these. These are top of the line quility from a well respected company. Everything about them screams quility. Great buy period.

Model Reviewed: 15" Phoenix gold Titanium sub

Strength:

very clean, no distortion at the highest volume. Tight and very accurate response. Good RMS rating 550 watts.

Weakness:

Not as loud as some may like. However i do have the subs in a sealed box, and as we all know, sealed is more for sound quality. So..... they will be louder and awesome in a ported box as well.

i just purchased a pair of these subs at a local shop about a week ago and built a sealed box for them. I drive an acura legend and i have the box facing forward right behind the seat. They sound awesome. VERY VERY nice sound quality!!! Being that they are pointed forward and in a sealed box, they are not as crazy "chest pounding" loud as another woofer that i used(audiobahn AWT15X). However they hit alot cleaner and super tight. Not to mention that they are still super loud. Its just a different kind of loud. I would recomend these subwoofers to someone who is looking for loud clean sound and who still would like some trunk space. They only require 1.25cuft in a sealed box(1.4cuft after displacement).
