strengths? ha! too mild of a word to use for this single 10 inch. it'll take on any power you throw at it. this is one serious sub.

All I have is one(1) 10 inch XMAX sub in a .5 cubic feet sealed enclosure. this little sucker pounds!!! it'll take anything you throw at it. Made my 2 JL 12W0s sound like an interior speaker. This sub is discontinued but i believe the new model is Phoenix Gold /Coustic Titanium. but if you find one for a good price, get it! I guarantee you'll be real happy just like i am.

I bought 2 of these new from an eBay seller for $99/each. That is a lot cheaper than my local stereo shops that wanted $200+. To drive these subs you'll need a good box. Make sure that you use a box that is of the proper volume (I can't remember off of the top of my head but I think that it is about.7 cu. ft.) Don't use a cheap box as it will rattle. You'll need 3 more things....

I can't state that enough. I hooked them up to a HiFonics Thor which put out 125 watts/channel. They sounded pretty bad. I borrowed another HiFonics Thor and bridged each amp for, I believe, 500 watts/channel. The subs loved it. They hit so hard and clean!!! It was too much for 1 car though. So I put only 1 sub in my car and put the other one in my other car. I use an Orion XTR400 to power the other one (400 watts/channel) These Orion's are on Ubid from time to time for about $100 for a refurb. I bought a couple and they are really nice.
For Value I will base it on the list, which is somewhat steep. But if you look around you'll find them for cheap on eBay. Most people overlook these little beasts so they go for cheap.

AWESOME - these subs pound - the carbon fiber looks cool and works great.

As other users state these subs must be driven by power. I have tow hooked up to the PG xs2500 (well over 500 watts) and they rock.
