If you are looking for a great playing 10" sub that can break that low beat we all love, then go with the premier impp..i have had great results from mine and no problems at all with it..this 10" sub is 800wtts..yeh and it is also nickel plated..the speaker is hard to find now considering it is 6 years old but if you can get your hands on one then dont pass up the chance...its worth it!

Strength:

Tight bass, good clarity, very rigid cone, Pioneer''''s new Voice Coil Cooling System

Weakness:

I dunno...maybe...price?

Ok, so I DON''''T own this sub, but I''''ve spent a lot of time listening to it. How come I didn''''t buy it? Because I decided for my application I should buy the DVC version, but couldn''''t afford it. Anyway, if you''''re in to SQ and you have a VERY WIDE range of musical tastes, give this sub a listen. I put it through a gammit of my cd''''s, ranging from Rock to Techno, Dance to Punk, Oldies to Ska, and this sub handeled them all wonderfully. One thing to keep in mind, if you listen to techno, and plan to run at high volumes regularly...most 10" are not the way to go. 10" tend to over heat do to inefficient cooling when playing those insanely low electronically generated tones. But the new Pioneer VCCS system sounds like it may be better suited than most 10-inchers, getting this sub in DVC format can help keep the sub temp down too (why I wanted the DVC version). So if SQ is your game, and you listen to lots of different types of music, give this one a listen, I think you''''ll be pleased.

Strength:

Good power handling Nice, clear sound quality

Weakness:

none that i could find

I have one of these in the trunk of my car. It''s running at 2 ohms into a Lanzar 600w amp in bridged mode. This speakers is only supposed to hold 400RMS, but my amp is putting out about 500w in bridged mode and this sub handles it. It has great sound quality and good thumb. Its about as loud as my friends two 10" MTX Thunder6000 and it''s cheap. For a good overall sub for a decent price and not to mention great loooks, give this a try.
