Strength:

They hit really hard and are handling 800 watts with ease. I still can't get over how good they sound.

Weakness:

None that I can tell.

I purchased these subs thinking they would sound ok. I figured why not, they're pretty cheap. I hooked them up to a MA Audio HK1000d at 1ohm and man do they hit. They are really loud. I couldn't believe my ears. I built a box tuned to 35 Hertz and it is extremelly loud but with good sound quality. Well worth every penny. A couple of friends of mine run Memphis Subs and even they couldn't believe the power of these Pioneers.

Strength:

Cheap - $75 for 600w (8w per buck!) Not cheaply made - There's a reason Pioneer is one of the most reputable speaker manufacturer's for the past 30+ yrs. Premeir is their top of the line product. Smallish enclosure means more room for other stuff. Woven radial surround is a first for me. I've read there is nothing out there better than rubber surround, but I can see the positives in this design. The best being longevity. DVC so you can get the most out of your mono amp.

Weakness:

Only the fact that it is a 10". But if you are like me, size of enclosure, money saved vs a 12" & comparable performance is all I needed to make the decision. Don't bother if all you want is mind numbing, IQ dropping bass that shakes a baby in its crib 46 miles away. If you like that, call me and I'll come with a 55 gal drum and a 2x4 and play pinata over your head.

Strong 10", can handle my 500w (via Sony XM-D500X) easily. Built box myself, ported (a single 3"x7.5") with about 1.35cf. Used computer aided box-calculator to match peak db to amp's 40hz bass boost. Nice sound, could handle a bit more power (not sure if Sony is actually spittin out 500w, Sony unwilling to provide me with a spec sheet or test data as most upper quality companies do. So what does that say about them?). Sharp, accurate bass unless you get too far away from the manufacturer's recommended enclosure. Stay within 10% of 1.25cf and 10hz of 45. I was in it for the sq, and it earns good marks there. But this sub will also shake your vehicle (SUV) pretty good. It just will never go extremely low 15-25hz because: 1.) its only a 10", can't expect 12" or 15" performance out of a cone half or less than half that size. 2.) you should only use it in a ported enclosure (sealed spl drops >3db from 30hz on up, so options are pretty much limited. I am happy with what I got for the money, I have a high opinion of Etronics. $75 for 600w sub, $115 for 500w amp. Try getting that anywhere else. This was my second purchase from them, both times I bought late in the week and it arrived the Monday after (1500+ miles away)
