Strength:

These things are incredible. ive got a pair of them in a generic 12" box and powered by a 1500watt, 2 channel audiobahn amp. They are also runnin with Rockford Fosgate 5.25"s and 6x9s. And ive got a fairly cheap panasonic, 160 watt deck. without a doubt, its the best setup i have ever had. generic boxes definitely arent the way to go in most situations, but i definitely dont need anything more. these babies give me all i could want and more. they will shake houses as you drive by. i was fortunate enough to rip a broke guy off and got the pair of mine for $150. but if i had to, i would definitely pay full price for these subs.

Weakness:

If you like to listen hard rock or heavy metal music that has double kick in it alot, maybe these arent the best option. they seem like they dont have a very quick response to really fast bass hits. other than that though, they have treated me very well.

overall, i would recommend these to anyone. they are an outstanding buy. no doubt that they are the best thing out there in its price range. nothing can compare.

Strength:

Hits harder and clean enough; I never though one 12 would satisfy me, buts its even TOO much

Weakness:

Now I need dynamat... Is a bit weak below 35-40 hz, but PUTS OUT between 40 and 100, big time. Weight is heavy, if you are into performance.

Kics ass.. All I can say, is that 'most' people woudl not be disappointed. Those who like their bass to make them vomit, well, get two of them.. I'm running 1 in a 1.75 ported q-logic, off of a 400rms(2ohm) sony amp, and it hits like CRAZY... Nothing needs to change.. granted i have a nice jbl amp powering 4 3-way infinity kappas, but it really came together when i gave the sub real power. I hugely prefer it to my 2x12 pionner 'regular' subs that i used to have, and it makes so many friends jealous that have infinity kappas, etc... it might not drop below 40hz TOO well, but a subsonic filter, and the right box.. it puts out.. I thing caraudiomag did a review and gave HUGE scores... Best sub I've bought for the money

Their veary deep so i can't have them in a regcab truck but sounds wicked in a hatchback

The best boom for your buck!!!. I don't have a lot of power running them and they still pound hard. im a installer and ihave heard a lot systems and most people pay a lot of coin on other brands but still not getting as much peformence as the spl has.The subwoofer speaks for it's self, it looks great, sounds even better.Just don't use them in a bandpass box.Two thums up pioneer

Strength:

Absolute bass mayhem for less $$, awesome power handling (assuming unclipped power), looks like a freaking beast!

Weakness:

May not hit as clean as the much more expensive subwoofers (such as the Eclipse Titanium series), must invest on some Dynamat or your car will sound like a tin can rattling from miles away.

At First Glance: When I took the Pioneer Premier TS-W2000SPL subwoofer out of the box, I couldn't believe that I only paid $110 dollars (minus shipping) for this beast. The 25-pound sub was built to be abused; solid cast frame basket, ultra-stiff carbon-fiber cone and platium binding posts were just a few components in this sub that makes it stand out. Quite simply, this sub has everything a hardcore basshead would want, so let's go on to how this beast sounds. The Sound: I followed the factory recommendation for the proper box volume and tuning frequency, 1.75 cubic feet with a 6 1/2 inch port, 4 inch in diameter(these are also the same recommendation given out by a famous car audio magazine). I used 3/4 inch MDF (medium density fiberboard) and two 4 inch diameter Precision Port(these ports have to be 1" longer than the specs due to the flared ends), all were put together by myself within 3 days. I have two of these woofers installed in a 94 Volkswagen Golf GL, with the speaker facing the rear hatch. A Crossfire CFA-1000D was used to power the subs, providing around 1200 watts for both at 14 volts. I also used 0 guage power wire for the amp. So, a few days after I had these subs in my car, I have noticed a loss of hearing, loosening of interior panels, and frequent adjustment of the rear view mirror. These subs were simply SUPERLOUD; I put in Nelly's first CD, Country Grammar, and turned to track 7, E.I., and when the bass kicks in, I could literally feel the pressurized air rushing pass my head, while totally overpowers my car and envolope myself in a pure bass bubble. I pulled into my house's driveway with the system cranked, and my roommate told me that he can hear it in his room clearly, 2nd floor high and away from the driveway! It was almost scary at times because it resonates my car so hard, my rearhatch panel was loose after the first few hours of playing time. However, I did wish the system would hit a bit lower, on tracks such as "Get Low", by Lil Jon, the deep sinewave-like bass was overpowered by the bass drum. On the other hand, the pure SPL these subs are capable of was well worth it, and adding an Audio Control EpiCenter may solve the problem. If you would rather go for sound quality and deeper bass extension, you should make the box slightly bigger and tune the port lower. Conclusion: Hum...right now I have a headache from listening to excessive loud music, so I will wrap this review with some simple words: These subs are the best deal in terms of dollar-per-SPL, if you are a basshead like me you won't be dissappointed. Oh, invest the money you saved from buying this woofer for lots of Dynamat, you'll need it if you don't want to look stupid driving with a rattling tin can.

Strength:

Pretty linear freq response, even in a ported enclosure, looks like a freaking beast of a sub, pounds effortlessly

Weakness:

None yet; when my 1200 watt amp arrives, weaknesses may then come to light, but this thing seems like a winner so far

I expected this sub to have a relatively low sensitivity, and while waiting for my jbl 1.1200 amp to arrive, I hooked it up to a 100W rms sony amp (2x50 bridged) and it hits hard, loud and clean; I cant wait to feed it some real power! Its in a q-logic 1.75 cu ft ported enclosure, 6 1/2 inch length port tube, per recommended specs. I wanted one sub to replace my 2 pioneer tsw-304 12's that got stolen, and I am quite happy with it.

Strength:

good price, high handling capability (750 rms, 2000 max) small enclosure (1.5 cubic feet), pounds hard while maintaining integrity, looks awsome.

Weakness:

I have found none.

I love to see people pay hundreds of dollars more and get nothing better than a product that cost hundreds less. These woofers are great! Hard hitting, clean, tight. They truly sound as good and slam as hard as anything out there, but without the mega price.
