Pioneer TS-W305C Subwoofers

Pioneer TS-W305C Subwoofers

DESCRIPTION

Take your music from the realm of something you hear to the realm of something you feel with the VCCS Series TS-W305C subwoofer. This 12" Pioneer fires powerful blasts of bass all the way down to 18 Hz! Plus, you'll enjoy extended power handling, courtesy of the Aramid fiber IMPP cone and heavy-duty motor assembly. A carbon fiber dustcap provides extra reinforcement, so the cone can handle all that power.

An extended, vented pole yoke helps to dissipate heat rapidly — distortion is minimized, even in extended play conditions. The triple-layer urethane surround is durable and resists the elements.

  • Aramid fiber injection-molded polypropylene cone
  • urethane surround
  • 83-ounce magnet structure
  • frequency response 18-2,000 Hz
  • power range 50-400 watts RMS
  • peak power 800 watts
  • sensitivity 89 dB SPL
  • 4-ohm impedance
  • top mount depth 5-11/16"
  • sealed box volume 1.5 cubic feet
  • ported box volume 1.65 cubic feet
  • single reflex bandpass box volume 0.9 cubic feet (sealed)/0.9 cubic feet (vented)

Strength:

They play low and loud

Weakness:

Power hungry and if the box specs are'nt right the bass won't travel.

These are great, power hungry but GREAT. I had these for like 9 months working HARD and then sold them to a friend (as new... lol) for exactly what I paid for them. He has had them working HARD now for over a year and .... I'm seriously thinking about buying them back, serious.

Strength:

The price is the biggest strength of these subs. They're pretty cheap ass and still GREAT performers.

Weakness:

Ugly looking sub but u'll forgive it once you hear it ;)

Pioneer has come up with a great sub for the budget concious audio lover. The TS-W305C is miles better than its predecessor the 304C especially at when it comes to power-handling. I have two of these ($115) fitted in a custom slot ported box in a small hatchback car and boy do these subs pound. These babies are pretty loud but not so strong on the SPL side. They do give out quite a fair bit of punch. I'm giving each sub around 350 watts RMS. My car roof vibrates along with the beats/bass. My Pioneer HU has a volume level of 64 but at 32 the whole car starts to get pretty shaky. These are one of the BEST bang for the buck subs you can find.

Strength:

deep, clear sound, great bass for the buck

Weakness:

just standart connectors no screw or pushterminals

This is truly a very good low cost entry sub...after my ESX AL15 blew up with my new amp i went to my local dealer and grabbed 2 of those pioneers (by the way i liked the design) i fixed them in my box (100litre volume exl. the chassis 2 Ports 85mm diameter 16cm long) and gave them a try. (For shure you should let them play in for 4-6 hrs at lower volumes) They have a very clear and deep sound. They can even punch pretty hard if you´ll give them enough power to let them dance to x-max ;-) I had many subs, pretty expesive ones too but i can really say that this is a very good entry sub but you should have at least 2-300 real watts to have the real fun with them.

Strength:

They boom, and are clear and crisp and looooud.

Weakness:

None yet.

I guess I'm the first to review these. Brand New 305C's . 800w each, I have 2 12's gettin popped by a DHD 1000 Watt amp. These woofers are built like tanks! They weigh a $hitload each. Now down to the sound, they are crsip, and punchy, and sooo loud. The can handle whatever you can throw at them, and never sound distored. The punch is so crisp, it feels like gettin punched in the chest. I love these speakers. Can't find a thing wrong with them, and I am picky as hell when it comes to sound, and these are well worth it.
