Strength:

has a good shape, fits my king cab,s rear shelf.

Weakness:

Bass is boomy,muddy.

I have the TX-WS70 and I would not recommend it to anyone but the most casual listener. The bass is "one-note",muddy and poorly defined.I am driving it with a Alpine 35 watt per channel amp bridged with the amps internal crossover.I do not know what the crossover point is,sounds like 120 hz or so.
The sub is octagonally shaped so it is stable in the back of my 88 Toyota King Cab.For an 8 inch woofer it goes fairly low, there just is'nt much excitement added to classic rock with it.
For 40 dollars or less,it would be acceptable to the budget-minded with an eye to using it in a second, backup vehicle later.I bought it at a close-out without an option to return it.
If you want tight, clean, accurate bass, steer clear of this one!
