Strength:
good bass dual voice coils works great with rockford 300s (on only one channel!!!) good for my small enclosure
Weakness:
hits to hard for me. im into good sound not setting off car alarms but this is a major plus for most of you reading this im sure. :) dope sub hits kinda hard for my truck so i think im going to move to a ported enclosure soon. highly recommended althought ive heard a lot better about the hx2's i would have got em but best buy doesnt carry em (employee discount) cant wait for the new 2003 model to come out (higher max wattage) Similar Products Used: sony xplod xl1235 i thought this sub was awesome till i got the he2. |

Strength:
Loud, pretty good SQ for a sub at this price range.
Weakness:
longevity. The RF He2's are a great all around sub, hits decent lows, good SQ, pretty good SPL. What keeps this sub from being "great" is the fact that, they don't cool well, playing them too loud too long, ex. over an hour, will burn one or even both voice coils easily. They are great in moderation, to show off to friends etc. but not competition material, or even long drive material. Even with a 500a2 RF a killed one sub in 5 weeks, even after a 2 week "break in", the second i just killed about 2 months ago. big Foam Surround Huge Magnet Crazy BASS A lot of SPL
Weakness:
None that I have noticed I have one Punch HE2 12' In a ported enclosure with a RF 360a2 Amp this Is the best setup I think because IT's so freakin LOUD the bass in my car is so awesome people think I have another sub hidden in my sub so that goes to show you how great this subwoofer sounds so If you want a sub that turns heads and has crazy bass than this Is It. Deep, hard bass..
Weakness:
Nothing so far.. JUST got em.. yo, i had 4 JL W0's, 2 were on a MTX 6500D then I ran 2 off a Rockford 700s, I blew a sub so I hooked all 2 JLs up to the 700s and blew them too. hehe.. So, I got 2 Rockford HE2's on that MTX 6500D, and GOD DAMN!! LOUD.. tingles the ears.. My old freind had 4 Solobarics and 2 PPI amps.. his car was doing like 152 db, and Id say mines sorta close.. Bang for the buck. Hits decently.
Weakness:
Sq is off and overall isn't what i listen for. The sub overall is good for the price. It doesn't quite keep up with the jl w3's in sq but the overall thump is what i was looking for at the time. I ran two of the he2's off a 700s and pressured at 142.7 db. For the price you can't really beat it in spl. CAN BE PLAYED AT HIGH VOLUMES GREAT FOR RAP MUSIC LOOKS TIGHT AND IT'S THE BEST I'VE EVER BOUGHT

NONE I COULD HEAR THIS SUB IS AWESOME I HAVE ONE 12 ROCKFORD FOSGATE HE2 WITH AN 800WATT ROCKFORD FOSGATE AMP AND IF YOU WANT A SUB THAT TURNS CAR ALARMS ON PEOPLE TURNING THEIR HEADS AND BASS YOUR BODY CAN FEEL THAN THIS SUB IS FOR YOU IT SLAMS VERY HARD AND IT'S GREAT FOR RAP MUSIC WHICH IS THE ONLY MUSIC I BUMP ON SUB I HAD A SONY XPLOD SUB AND IT SUCKED IT DIDNT HAVE MUCH BASS AND MY FRIENDS WERE TELLING ME THAT ROCKFORD FOSGATE HAS THE BEST SUBS. Pretty good SPL for 1 12. Looks mean.
Weakness:
Sounds nasty. I had to get this sub because I blew the spider off the Vega. I have it hooked up to an Orion XTR 500 and it gets pretty loud. It has some trouble with frequencies under 35 Hertz. It sounded good when I first got it but now it makes a thumping noise in the dust cap. Similar Products Used: Cerwin Vega 124. The Vega sounded a lot better but the Fosgate was a little louder. |

Can take lots of power, slams, great for rap
Weakness:
If you listen to punk rock or fast music like that, you have to turn the gain way down on your amp. This sub slams. I had two sony xplod 12s and this one 12 slams way harder than the 2 sonys. I cant wait to get another one. Similar Products Used: Sony Xplod 1235 |

When it lasted it sounded good.
Weakness:
Piece of crap. Not realiable. Got a 4 channel fosgate 200a with one of these 12''s. Fosgate rep said it would sound good. Bull crap. The amp sucks way to much power for it''s size and the speaker last 14 months. For my first experience with a system, it sucked. I now run a Kenwood to my kicker subs.
