Strength:

easy to apply and remove, leaves a nice shine

Weakness:

I had a new black car, the weekness I found in this product is it's shine only last about a month depending how many times I would wash my car (2-3 a month). the protection is there, but the shine isn't. after about a month I would notice the oxidation stage taking place. 2nd it doesn't apply depth to the finish.

I have to say I currently use alot of the Meguires products and they all work well and saves you money because most of there products last , if someone asked for advice on what products should they use on their car I would suggest using Meguire products.
BUT, I'm the type of person that likes to see there car sparkle this Gold Class Wax only provides it on the initial time you apply it (don't get me wrong my car always has a nice shine) but not that *SPARKLE SHINE*. if your the type of person that washes your car once a month and doesn't own a BLACK car than it's for you.

auto magic, it's polish is excellent! ads depth, fades out the light faint scrathches on th clearcoat. leaves behind a *SPARKLE SHINE* you wouldn't believe and last!

Strength:

Easy to apply and to rub off

Weakness:

Designed for those who keep their cars in immaculate condition.
Not for those who wash their car only when it's real dirty, and wax once a year.

I have to agree and disagree with Edwin.
We just got a $3600 custom paint job on our car and I noticed a deeper shine after applying the Gold Class wax.
The wax does not hold up for long periods of time, but then again you don't want it to. A heavy wax will leave deposits and ruin the paint job anyway.
I wash the car weekly and wax it monthly. The steps are to wash then apply polish and then wax the car. You only have to polish twice a year at the most, wax once a month and your car will outshine the rest.
If you just go out and buy the wax without the polish you won't get a deep shine. The polish is what brings out the color and deepness to the paint, also it depends on the amount of clearcoat that is on your car. We have 3 coats of clear on our camaro and it has a very deep appearance to it.
Most factory paint jobs are basecoat/clearcoat mixed together (color pigments are in with the clearcoat), while others are seperate basecoat clearcoat. You can easily determine a basecoat/clearcoat paint job by looking at your waxing rag as you are removing the wax.
If the rag is the same color of your car it's a basecoat/clearcoat paint job.
Meguiars products must be used in a step by step prepping order to achieve
the best results. The label even says this.
Our rims (which were not repainted)looked dull and faded.
I applied Meguiars body scrub, cleaner wax, prep and swirl remover, polish and then wax. The rims now almost look as good as the new paint job!
It took me about 6 hours to bring new life back into the rims, but it sure beats paying over $400 to have them refinished.

If you don't get great results from Meguiars products, then go back and read the label, your problably using it the wrong way.
So, if you're a clean freak when it comes to your car, then I would give Meguiars a try. If you don't want to invest the time then purchase a more durable wax with carnuba in it.
